The food here is always amazing ... especially anything that's torched! Unlike other AYCE sushi restaurants, you get what you... ordered! I can't count how many times dishes are not received at All You Can Eat establishments, bit not at Tatami. Whenever wevisit, we're greeted with a familiar hello and have never needed to wait an excessive amount of time before beingseated. The portions are a little bigger now than it was 2 years ago. Unfortunately, one of my friends dish had a dead fly in the bowl,... and she only found the fly after she had nearly finished the bowl. Read more
Very small portions at a time. Just need to keep ordering. I understand you don't want it to be wasted but 2 pieces will not be... wasted when there are 2 people. However, the food was really good. I enjoyed it! Staff are NOT welcoming at all. In our 2 hoursduration only time more than 2 sentences was spoken was when we were asked for drinks. This once was one of my favorite ayce in the city, but now it's just average. Finally visited when things are somewhat... normalized and despite all the bad reviews this place got during covid its not as bad as reported. This place has the absolutely worst service ever. Every server is rude, never answers your questions directly, drops the food... with attitude. Hung up when I called to make a reservation. Then at the end the server demanded we tip her. A tip is for goodservice not making your customers uncomfortable and unwanted. Save yourself go elsewhere. Read more
every bad review you read is true. this place use to be so nice its just not what it use to be. foods stale, rice was off white,... didnt taste like sushi. The dinner price is still the same if not more expensive and the menu is about 1/3 of what dinner use tooffer. some good OG staff but i have no nice words for the lady who brought most our food out. we were seated in an emptyrestaurant right by the back almost as if it saves them a walk from the kitchen, and its a really awkward place to be since allthe staff stands at that corner speaking their language. We felt uncomfortable bc they could hear us just as well as we couldhear them and we had nothing but bad things to say about the food. our beef ribs looked watered down and soggy, we can usuallygo through dozens but we left the whole plate. 1/10 food and taste wise. the styrofoam everything was also a super sad diningexperience. The food was great. A lot of variety in terms of the sushi, but there is a lot of non-sushi food as well! The service was good... too and the wait wasn't long considering there is covid. Read more
When I was in highschool, about 6 years ago, this place was my go-to AYCE sushi place with my friends. It used to be good. This... was the first time I came back and had their AYCE since the pandemic happened. Seems like the quality of their sushi haddeclined a little bit. It doesn't taste as fresh as other sushi places. Although, they're still the cheapest lunch price forayce in the area. It was still a good lunch though. And they switched from ceramic or plastic plates to styrofoam for some oftheir menus including the seaweed salad and the ice cream. Read more
