It's pretty amazing this place can exist in an area that has restaurants like Burrata, Via Forno, Harvest on Hudson, and... Polpettina next door. Food tasted like nothing; menu is uninspired. Drinks were ok I guess, but not really great. Seems like aplace you go to so that you're seen by others, instead of a place you go to because you want to enjoy some good food. Frenchfries were good though! In conclusion: please please please consider introducing salt into your food. Read more
6 of us were there for a lunch about a week ago. Came in at 11 just as they opened. We were seated promptly under the awnings... out back with a great breeze (on a hot day). We ordered six different items and each person seemed to be in heaven with theirown. OMG that rarely happens. Then we got three desserts to split per couple. Again, this too was outstanding. I had theapple pie - I have eaten apples pies for most of my 66 years. This multiple layer treat was outstanding - super outstanding. This place was a GREAT find and we plan to come back often. It's only an hour trip from where we are in New Jersey. It's worththe time, the miles and the tolls to come eat at CHAT!!! Read more
First time here, shared steamed artichoke to start follows by steak sandwich for my wife and veal chop special for me - all were... really good. Add in the outstanding service from Madison (ensured everything was right without hovering), a prefect evening. Mywife says it's her new favorite restaurant. Read more
I don't have any complaints about Chat. Arrived here for Sunday brunch at about 11:45am. It wasn't packed yet. Had seating... inside an out. Enjoyed a crab cake for starters and mimosas to wash em down. Then streak n eggs for an entree. I believe itwas skirt steak and it was filling, cooked to my liking and yummy. This was an amazing evening.. such friendly staff.. even though it was a busy Saturday the service was awesome .. the menu ...... delicious and the drinks are super flavorsome .. we had a great time and I would recommend this for a nice evening out. Read more
Nice atmosphere and seems a favorite in the area. They have heated outside seating but we decided to dine inside. Very busy on... a Tuesday evening. Grilled meatloaf was very good. One member of our party didn't feel well and we have to end our dinnerearlier than anticipated . The server and manager was very accommodating and tended to our needs. We have eaten at Chat many times over the last few years, however since the pandemic began in mid March we had not returned... until this afternoon. Although the weather was a brisk 45 degrees we chose to sit outdoors on their patio. There were at least15 outdoor propane heaters and we were sandwiched between two enormous ones that gave off a considerable amount of warmth. Thewaiters were wonderful and both my wife and I had delicious meals. We felt relaxed and grateful that all the staff was masked. Read more
