Authentic local experience you can't find elsewhere. Counter or table seating. Takeout available. Prices are very reasonable... and excellent milkshakes. The fries are delicious with skin on. Living on their reputation! The place was dirty from floor to ceiling including behind the counter and the cooking equipment.... There was nothing special about the hot dogs. They were average size and the chili sauce was nothing to write home about. Afterhearing so many local radio personalities talk this "iconic" restaurant up over the years I was disappointed to discover thatyou can find a tastier hot dog next door at Stewart's and put on your own fixin's with a better chill sauce. It's a Mom and Pop shop which is awesome! Cash only! They serve a pretty good hot dog, not the best I've had but certainly not... the worst. It was on the spicy side which I enjoyed. I would have given them 4 stars but the hot dogs are over priced at $2.40each, that's way too much for a simple hot dog with everything as seen in the photo. Would I go back? Yes I might if I was inthe area again, however, I don't think I'd go out of my way. Read more
