I placed an order on Uber eats, which got cancelled Right before my delivery time by the driver (over an hour). I called Luca's... and they made an exception to their delivery radius, and redid my order. Luca's was not responsible for this error, but theycertainly made it right. I have been going to Lucas for at least 8 years. He sold the place but remains there as a cook. They have this boy posing as a... manager. Very rude and poor at customer service. I knew he was a jerk when I was ordering the food over the phone. The wingswere consistent but the fries were hard and not the same. I asked to speak to Luca, he told me no and that he is the manager andLuca is just the cook. The man remained on to keep the business going for the new owner and you down play him. He thenproceeded to say don't ever come back. My name and credit card will be blocked, I won't be able to contact the business. Listen, you sound dumb. The owner needs to get rid of you and your poor customer service and sarcasm. I detected a littleracism. Overall the change of hands and the hiring of bad staff will run this business into the ground!! Read more
6/22/22 Update - I am updating my review to 5 stars because Lucas reached out and explained that the toppings thing was a... misunderstanding and made it right with a credit. We haven't ordered again yet, but hopefully when we do, it will be smoothsailing! 6/14/22 Original Review - Luca's pizza is our favorite in the capital region because of the consistent excellenttopping flavor and amount. The pizza is just the right middle ground of thin but not too cracker thin. Why am I giving them atwo-star instead of five-star rating do you ask? Unfortunately due to a change in management they now have the policy to charge$10 (@$2.50 ea) for a two topping pizza, with different toppings on each half. This is unheard of both locally with all of theother pizza places we order at and in other states. They're wanting to charge the same amount as four-topping pizza whichdoesn't make sense. That's $5 extra to NOT put the extra toppings. The recent change in management has implemented this policyand in the process lost a decade-long customer. I love when I order food and the food is CONSISTENT. Everything and anything I order from Lucas always comes to me consistent.... From the wings to the salads to the quasadilla EVERYTHING is delicious!! They are my go to when I want something quick or justto fix my wing or salad craving. NEVER disappointed. I?ve ordered from here quite a few times now and haven?t had a bad meal yet. I usually get their salads which are delicious and... huge. The balsamic vinaigrette and the blue cheese are delicious. I was here for over an hour and the only other person to walk in was the pro cannabis delivery driver. But that doesn't mean... they weren't busy. Look at the size of the God damn caesar salad!! I couldn't decide between the wings or pizza so I got both.The cook came out and said his wings were fire so obviously. Hard fried and saucy... as good as it gets. The pizza rivals thebest in upstate. I was so hungry I forgot to add pics of the wings and pizza. Every time I entered the restaurant / Bar nobody was inside plus employees were only in the back kitchen area. Not sure if this... is because they only handle take out orders. The location was nice to bad it's losing attraction for business. Read more
