I've finally found the spot for real deal BBQ that I've been missing. Thank you Memphis King BBQ! The pulled pork sandwich was... huge and tender. Where there's smoke, the food is fire. Everything I've had here has been excellent. The ribs were meaty, smoky, juicy and... tender, with a nice tangy sauce on the side. The brisket tacos with crispy onions and cole slaw were 10/10, and I don't evenlike cole slaw! The owner seems engaged and really into trying new things while serving up superb versions of the classics. So glad my work now takes me nearby here now. Read more
My husband and I finally managed to make it to The Memphis King for lunch recently and it was some of the best BBQ we've had in... the capital region!! Portions are generous and prices are fair. Add me to the list of fans of this BBQ joint! The ribs are amazing. Fall right off the bone. Excellent flavor and texture. ... The mac and cheese was delicious. We tried the potato salad and it was also good. The pulled pork was extremely easy to eator put on a roll. The pulled pork did seem fatty compared to others i have tried. They make a ton of different sauces and Iintend to try them all. The white BBQ sauce was different and very good on the ribs. The sweet sauce was like eating honey. Drove here on a whim with most restaurants closed on New Years day. I had read reviews of Memphis King. The food was... outstanding (big bbq fan) The ribs were literally fall off the bone. This place is awesome! I got the King's Royal Sandwich with Brisket and I got an order of Garlic Parm fries to go with it. They... were both phenomenal! I met the owners and they are hardworking and seem pretty solid. This is definitely 1 of the best BBQspots in the Capital District and I look forward to going there again real soon. Read more
