We ate in the fine dining room. The food is good. The service is helpful but slow. The building really looks like it needs a... good deep cleaning...see enclosed pic of wall...and the carpets are very dirty...for the price point I just expected thefacility to look more fresh and clean. Read more

Food is always great. Great service too. Today we had the fried walleye, frog legs and lake perch. Each was lightly breaded,... served a warm plate. Very good. Have been here many times over last 45 years. Food, service and atmosphere is consistentlygreat. We'll be back again. Read more
Been coming to Teibel's for over 70 years. (I'm 81). Never have any bad food. Always consistently good food & service. A true... mainstay place for catering, parties, dining in & carry out. I never thought I'd be highly recommending Teibel's. They have kind of a dated feel with old-school (classic?) menu options. Our... family has been there multiple times throughout the years, and it felt like a restaurant more for my parents than for theyounger generations. Despite my impression, they are actually keeping up with the times. I was really impressed when we wentthere recently. I asked the server about their gluten-free options, and she KNEW immediately what was and wasn't gluten-free.That is rare for most restaurants, sadly. She also offered to get me some gluten-free rolls, and my meal came out with a little"gluten-free" flag on it. When we were ordering dessert, I asked if the lava cake could be made gluten-free, fully expectingthat to be an impossibility. But she said YES, they make a gluten-free lava cake! ???? Lava cake is my favorite dessert, but Ihaven't had it in years as no one else makes it gluten-free (and baking a GF lava cake myself would be a real challenge). I wasabsolutely ecstatic. Decorated beautifully for the season inside and outside. Wait staff was ok, seemed to be more focused on the other end of the... table for our party of 9. Plenty of parking. Wasn't handicapped accessible entrance, there were stairs. I ordered walleye pike,presentation fair, food rather bland and unseasoned. Not sure I can recommend this restaurant. I heard about Tiebels's my whole life and finally got to visit for dinner. The perch was worth the wait. The portion size was... huge. Others in the group tried fried chicken and pot pie. Both were also reported as good. Hope to get back sooner thanlater! Read more
