First time patrons. Bartender/waiter on Sunday night was exceptional. Smaller inside but nice atmosphere. Chicken wings were... good and service by bartender was prompt and informative to our questions on sauces. I took my wife out because it was her birthday. Since it was a Thursday, we felt the bar might not be so crowded, and maybe we... could get something to eat. We were wrong. There were only two other couples, and us. We sat at the bar. It took about 10minutes to get a bartender, as he was busy on his phone. We asked for, and received menus (which were dirty and disgusting). Thebartender then disappeared in the kitchen, and we didn't see him again until we decided to leave. Nobody came back to ask us ifwe were ready to order. A couple came in after us and sat at a table got their order in, received their food, and ate, butnobody had taken our order yet. I went to use the restroom, and when I returned, the menus were taken back. I guess they didn'twant our patronage. We had waited well over a half an hour, and just walked out. This place is not worth all the hype andacclaim that the owner puts out. I give it ZERO stars, and will never return! Read more

Went for Friday Fish Fry for the first time and it was delicious! I had the baked haddock and 1 piece was enough for me, it was... a generous 6-7 ounce piece of of thick, moist, flakey perfectly cooked deliciousness. My husband had The shrimp and said it wasvery good as well. We both had leftovers for a light lunch the next day. Service was fast & friendly too. The fries & coleslawwere also very good. I really like what they did with the old Avenue Lounge. The atmosphere is relaxing and kind of has a supper club feel. The... drinks were made quickly and properly. The bartender was friendly, engaging and prompt with refills. I placed my food order andit arrived after a substantial amount of time,, but they were busy. At start, the steamed broccoli was slightly over roomtemperature. So I ate it quickly because 8 really dislike cold cooked broccoli. Next, I start on the main feature. I orderedthe blackened ($2.99 up charge) salmon per the bartenders high recommendation. I started with the thinner section of the fishwhich is usually a little more cooked, but not in the case. It was very good. However, as I progressed through to the meatyside, it started going down hill fast. That part fish was overcooked significantly. It got so bad I couldn't eat the last 1/3as it was very dry and not flakey at all (see last photo). I also upgraded to the twice baked potatoe ($3.99 up charge). It wasmediocre. Not what I expected as for as quality from a place that has a decent men and moderately priced menu. Overall, myexperience was "meh." I should have stuck to my gut and just ordered the spicy walleye. It?s a clean and quaint place, small and cozy. The prime rib had good flavor but it was over cooked. I found it rather... unprofessional when I witnessed the bartender taking a slug of leftover beverages out of the blender, she could have poured itin a glass!! Plus it was a real turn off when an off duty worker was entertaining the patrons?. Blah blah blah. It?s a smallplace and voices carry?. Let?s make it more professional if you?re going to be somewhat of a supper club and attract retiredpeople that have the spending power and like to eat out! Read more
