Went to the long run diner for breakfast a few months ago and it was pretty good. So we decided to go back but this time for... dinner. that turned out to be a mistake. The seafood bisque soup was rather spicy and didn't have any texture or taste. Thesalad was wet.. i mean it was floating in water. The meatloaf had a paste like texture. With gravy that you can tell was from apacket very salty and thick.. the mashed potatoes I believe were from a box as well.. if you look at my other reviews you willknow that I am rather easy to please and not super critical when it comes to food but this was just bad.. Place is very shabby, dirty run down. Food isn't too too bad. Whoever made the halupkies certainly isn't ethnic to the dish.... They were bad. Rice ground meat and it tasted like chili powder. Not the halupkies I know. Really needs a redo. Read more
Good if you're in a rush. Friendly staff, quality of food is decent but nothing to write home about. $32 for two people,... expensive for what you receive. French toast is just bread dipped in egg wash and "syrup" is high fructose. Read more
The only reason I'm giving two stars is because the staff was very nice and you get the food fast. Unfortunately those are the... only good things about long run diner. 9 of us went there for breakfast, figured how can you mess up breakfast? Turns out youcan. The food had absolutely ZERO flavor. I was hungry for liver and onions with mashed potatoes and gravy. Delicious! Very pleasant staff and our food came out rather... quickly and was hot and tasty. Will be going back again and try some more of their extensive menu!! Read more
