Food was good, but the salad bar was better. It's always the best. Price for salad bar is too high though if you add it to a... meal that doesn't offer it. There's no more lunch menu. They should bring that back because I don't want to pay for dinner atlunch time. Server was too slow. Not sure if it was her being slow, or if there are not enough servers. Stopped in last week for a quick lunch. The restaurant was pretty empty, but the service was still on point. Had the never... ending salad bar and as usual everything was fresh. I liked that they had someone make your plate behind a barrier, as opposedto letting customers make their own. I have always enjoyed my meals at Charlie Browns, and was disappointed when they closed theone down on Route 22. Read more

Had a very enjoyable dinner Saturday evening. Salad bar items were nice and fresh and that raisin bread is always so good. We... ordered prime rib, filet of flounder, and roast chicken all were excellent. Been a Charlie Brown's customer for many years andhope this one in Scotch Plains will be around for a long time. Entrees (steak, chicken, and salmon) were excellent but the real star is their amazing salad bar! First time at this location, the service was good and the food was excellent. As an appetizer, I ordered the seafood platter.... Everythng was very good, the fried calamari was extremely tender and the grilled shrimp melted in your mouth. I ordered theCharlie Cut Prime Rib with a Lobster Tail. The steak was juicy and well seasoned and cooked to perfection. The lobster tail wasdelicious and sweet, it actually tasted better than the last one I had at Red Lobster.
