The food really needs to get better - the $23 (tip & tax included) plate with "grilled" chicken had very little guacamole & the... chicken was some very dry fatty scraps (had to throw it away). LA CHIMICHANGA CATINA might in fact be one of the worst restaurants I've ever had the privilege of DINING/DIEING in. Had one... bite of the nachos, as crunchy and delicious as they first were, the ENSUING moments would prove to be otherwise. I had a GUTWRENCHING pain in my abdomen, and I couldn't STOMACH the nachos for much longer! I’ve driven by this place a thousand times since they’ve been open and I never tried the experience. We went today after a... referral from a friend and we’re blown away. The service was top-notch and the food was fantastic. I asked for a side of chipsand received an entire spread of salsas, beans ( that they threw in on the house), and other pickled toppings. Worth the drive and money! Really great food and friendly staff. Food was well cooked and we'll seasoned. Especially shrimp.... Glad they were deveined and not over cooked. Cute outdoor seating with heat lamps. Indoor dining has beautiful art on thewalls. Menu has prices listed. Lots of selection for beers and cocktails too. Shots of liquor available too. Great lunch of authentic Mexican food. Setup like a fast good joint, but has a full bar too! Portions are huge!
