We went to Shari's because it had a halfway decent rating according to my nephew. I don't know who was rating this or where... those people are from, but I feel bad for them if Shari's marked high on their scale of edible food. Food was bad all around. Potato soup was just mush with stringy bacon. The 4 cheese ham sandwich only had one kind of cheese and... was covered in dirty grill residue. The smores pie was also terrible. The fries were fine. The staff was nice though, I willsay that. Read more
I'm editing to update for my 2nd visit. Shari's is still awesome. We had Pancakes with caramel and candied pecan, 2 eggs, and 2... bacon. Delicious oh and we both had coffee. The total was in the $20s. Waitress was a sweetheart. We also felt welcome. Read more
Disappointing breakfast. French toast was ok, bacon was good, but scrambled eggs were rather greasy. OJ was from a machine.... Service was quick and friendly. Overall ok for a chain restaurant but I wouldn?t come back. Read more
My most recent visit occurred after a break from this location for almost 2 yrs. I must say I was a bit disappointed when I saw... that not only did prices go up and quality go down but the serving size was half its original size from two years before. This review is based solely on the condition of the restaurant. The whole store is tired inside and out. Exterior signage is... broken and falling apart, the wood facade pieces and paint are in dire need of replacement. The inside of the store isn?tclean. The bathrooms are filthy and are in need of a remodel, badly. The grout in the bathroom is so dirty that it is blackinstead of white. Booth cushions with torn fabric, the pie cabinet mounted to the wall needs cleaned badly and componentsreplaced. They literally have TWO new chairs at one table, that is the extent of any update they?ve had. I would like eatingthere more if the store was majorly updated. Presentation is a part of the dining experience and with the state of thisrestaurant, it makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen, which makes me not want to eat there. Food was good but service was awful. Took over 10 minutes for anyone to even acknowledge we were even there. When someone... finally asked if we had ordered drinks yet, we said no, but could we get a kids menu for my child so she brought that andleft....still not taking our drink order. Our actual server finally came after ANOTHER 10 minutes so we ordered drinks andfood. A different server brought our drinks, another server brought our food soon after (so food was good and came quickly). Amanager walked by right after we got our food and asked if we were ok, which we were at that time. But, we never got checked onagain through our entire meal. I had drank my 1 cup of coffee only 1/4 way through my meal and never got a refill (they mustnot give carafe's of coffee anymore). Luckily my husband had ordered a water with his orange juice or I wouldn't have hadanything to drink with my meal. We never got check on through the entire meal, never got any drink refills, and then sat therefor over 15 minutes when we were all done eating and all of us had ran out of anything to drink and never got checked on. Ouractual server came in from outside (smoking I assume) and then stood there not doing ANYTHING while we ate our food and satthere waiting for drink refills. We never even got our check.....sat there for 15 min waiting after we were all done, all stillthirsty and finally walked up to the cash register to pay so we could get home to get a drink. Stopped in late for a meal and some pie while road tripping home from a cross country vacation. Bathrooms were clean and up to... date. Fast friendly service. Orders were taken and served quickly and accurately, food was tasty, fresh and homestyle.Comfortable and welcoming atmosphere, wait staff checked often to make sure we had refills and food was to our liking. Veryreasonable prices. Many unique pie choices available. We left with three slices to go, silverware and napkins provided, and allwere phenomenal.
