Joyful is our go to Chinese food place. All take out post Covid. We drive and sometimes walk to Joyful. They are figuring out... the post Covid world with price increases not reflected on menus however Joyful still a good value. The hot tip is the Thaifood on the menu for some variety. Read more

This is very unprofessional. There was more notice that restaurant was not open for dining. There was no one working except for... one person and there was no ac in there it was so hot. The food was awful. I'm not a picky eater, but the food smells old anddisgusting. The vegetables were soggy and shrimp was drenched in sauce and had a awful smell! Read more

You need to post up front if you’re no longer willing to open for dine-in! It’s been 2 years that we have been checking... and you guys still closed for dine in! Not everybody wants pick up nor have their car smelling food. Put in yourwebsite and update it on Google that your place is Pick up Only! This is so disrespectful! Read more

After a few visits I can say the food is average. However, the lemon chicken was slightly over cooked and dried out. The... shrimp with lobster sauce didn't have much sauce and was overflowing with white onions. Will not order that dish again .Mongolian beef is one of the best I've had. The white and brown rice is above average in quality . Time to reopen dining room ..maybe food quality would be better versus take out Read more

They’re very hit or miss with their orders. Everytime we order from them there is always something missing. I ordered the... chicken chop suey this time around and it looks nothing like it. More like chicken soup. The sauce was just water. Very hesitantto return here. Read more

On a work trip in Scottsdale, AZ the employees were craving Chinese food and we decided to order some from Grubhub as we needed... to work on a few projects moving forward. As a result, we selected Joyful Chinese Dining after reading the great reviews. Whenthe food was delivered, there were 0 mistakes and still warm which is a great start. In typical Chinese food fashion, a dishshould probably be 2-3 servings; therefore, (even for delivery) you’re getting an insane amount of food. When it comes to thetaste of the food, it was not as flavorful. It wasn’t my favorite but I bet if I was in the restaurant, it would be muchbetter. All of my coworkers said the same thing about their dishes. It was a little disappointing, but again expected withdelivery. I would still recommend this place and try a different dish overall. If you can attend the restaurant in-person Iwould opt for that option. Read more

My favorite Chinese of 25+ years closed due to owners retiring, the hunt was on for a new replacement and I couldn't be happier... with my first experience at Joyful Chinese. Take out only for now, we ordered the ma-po tofu, almond chicken, gourmetvegetables, shrimp with lobster sauce and sizzling rice soup. Vegetables were fantastic; crisp yet cooked, flavorful but nottoo saucy, nice variety. Almond Chicken tasty with a higher quality vegetables than commonly found in similar disheselsewhere. Didn't try the shrimp but told it was good (but not New York style sauce, if thats your preference.) Was accidentallygiven wrong soup & received egg drop soup, but still tasty. For me, the star of the show was the ma-po tofu. Unlike other'brown gravy' versions offered elsewhere, Joyful's dish was chili-oil-based. DELICIOUS. Not spicy at all, just flavorful. Tofu was great quality, large pieces that didn't fall apart in the sauce, just the right amount of crumbled pork, and just theperfect hint of diced seasonings (green onions, garlic etc.). This dish was reminiscent of authentic Chinese cooking vsAmericanized versions. Portions were appropriate and a good value. First visit, yes. But on a packed Friday night (no dine-inavailable as of this posting due to current situation), service was friendly, order prepared and ready in the 20 minutes quotedand I'll definitely be back. Heads up, they're busy (but manageable) and you may need to call a few times to get through toplace your order. Based on todays visit, its well worth the effort. Read more

There are a lot of Chinese restaurants in this area, but Joyful is my favorite! I've ordered takeout from them a few times, and... they are on time, with consistently good food, and of good quality as far as I can tell! It's kind of hidden towards the back ofa sleepy little strip mall, so you might miss it if you're not looking for it--but you'll be sorry if you do! Overall, a reallygood Chinese restaurant that I can thoroughly recommend. Read more
