We were super excited to try this place because my friend is from Maui and we were hoping for some authentic Hawaiian food. Well... come to find out the Maui part of the food is served only at lunch time. So we settled on getting the Pasta part for dinner. Weeach order an appetizer I got the Parmesan Risotto and I cannot remember what my friend got, just know it was notmemorable! For my dinner I got the Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken and the House salad and dressing that was just oil withseasoning that would not blend together no matter how long I stirred it! My friend got the pesto pasta and a Cesar salad. TheONLY two things that were great on their own were the croutons with no dressing and the Parmesan Risotto. Now when I added thechicken from my fettuccine to the Risotto, I enjoyed it. Otherwise, to us nothing was flavorful, ESPECIALLY the lemonade. It wasjust watered down water with lemon. Will we try this place again? Unfortunately no. We left over half of each of our meals,including the salad. This place is a true hidden gem! We happened upon this place because we were running errands and I found it on Yelp! It’s... tucked away in a small plaza next to Yama sushi. Not only does this place serve Italian food, but it also serves Hawaiian fareas well! We were greeted warmly and given both menus. Our hearts were already set on Italian food, so we ordered shrimp scampiand one of the combo plates—fettuccine alfredo, salad and garlic bread. While we waited for our food, we were given a sampleof their rosemary grissini & artichoke dip. WOW! Beautifully baked and seasoned grissini and a creamy artichoke dip with just ahint of fresh lemon. Just tasting that little morsel, we knew we were in for a delicious lunch! Our waitress told us thateverything is freshly made—pasta, sauces, bread, desserts--everything! And you can tell! They are so proud of the food theymake because there is so much love and care they put into it. They also have ready made meals to go in case you’re in ahurry. While we were there, we saw a teriyaki bowl. It looked divine! They had a case full of decadent desserts from tiramisu,pies, cheesecake, cookies to two types of panna cotta! They also have their fresh pasta, pasta sauces, dips and salad dressingspackaged and ready for purchase in their refrigerated section. Lavosh, grissini, focaccia bread, breadsticks and so much moreare also freshly baked and ready to take home. Our food was delivered by one of the chefs and he was also friendly, letting usknow that they make their own pasta and sauces. Everything looked phenomenal. The fettuccine alfredo was creamy and cheesy.Caesar dressing on the salad was top notch. THE GARLIC BREAD. I could have eaten a whole basket of the garlic bread with thealfredo sauce and called it a day! Haha! That is a must get! The shrimp in the scampi was large, juicy and perfectly cooked. I eat here 2 to 3 times a week. Don't let the name fool you. If you are looking for true Italian food look no further. The chef... study in Italy and it shows. The food he was really great. I used to go to Maui Pasta when it was actually on Maui. They recently located to Scottsdale and... the food is just as delicious. It’s a small Mom and Pop operation but you wouldn’t know it from the quality of the food. Itis absolutely delicious. I highly recommend. Read more
