My husband and I went there for the first time and we were pleasantly surprised! The atmosphere is great. The staff is... incredible, our server, Steve, was super nice and helpful. The brussel sprouts and pork belly was by far my favorite food I’veeaten anywhere! We really enjoyed the bao buns and noodle bowl. We will be returning soon! Read more

Hands down the best food I've had in my 26 years of life. I was weary of the prices but the portions and quality shows for it.... The Crab Rangoon Dip with the pretzel is out of this world. The pretzel alone was the prime example of an everything pretzel. The dip itself had a taste so great I couldn't compare it to anywhere or anything else. Read more

Peculiar Truck, Peculiar Slurp, Peculiar Kitchen, Peculiar Takeover, the name doesn’t matter because the food speaks for... itself! Chef has put so much thought into the menu and atmosphere. Super creative art with a fun, sophisticated vibe. We lovethe usual menu (shout out to the karaage and bao buns, which are absolute perfection), and look forward to the specials andtakeovers. The recent Spanish takeover was a must. The menu was authentic yet combined the peculiar flair we love. Empanadas, tacos, and tostadas were our menu choices and each one was unique, fresh, and delicious! I am both curious and eager for thetasting menus rumored to be coming soon (make sure to follow them on social media for the most recent information). Other thingsto note: There is both inside and outside seating. Peculiar Kitchen is located within the city, Scranton requires pay to park. Read more

Over $19 with a small tip gave me this takeout ramen. I wish they provided more broth. Tasted okay but have had much better... elsewhere. For how much you get, I wouldn’t say it worth the money. Read more

I really like their concept and the cafe is decorated and laid out really cool. I am vegetarian and am glad there were things... for me to order. I got bbq mushroom bao buns and a curry mushroom ramen. The bao were so delicious, my daughter and I bothloved them. The ramen, not so much. The broth was like 5 notches too salty and there was way too much curry powder making itbitter and tasting like dirt. There was a generous amount of oyster mushrooms but the other veggies were just frozen corn andpeas a few radish slices and pickled onions. Luckily I ate at home, so I poured out the broth and made my own. Definitely notworth the $18 price tag. I will absolutely go back for the bbq bao and the staff was very nice. Read more

Absolutely amazing!!! My husband and I came in for date night and we left so happy and full and already trying to decide when we... can come back! Everything we tried was fresh and made with love. We got the Ramen, the pickled plate and the karaage with blackgarlic glaze. I also had the yuzu Shirley temple which was sooooo yummy and refreshing! Each item was simply OUTSTANDING. Icouldn't get enough. Presentation was gorgeous. I eat with my eyes first so it always stands out to me how the food looks beforeI try it and my soul was blessed when the food tasted as perfect as it looked! Our server was fantastic. She really made us feellike we were longtime friends catching up. Love that so much and it meant a lot. Seriously cannot wait to come back in! Thankyou so much for making our date night an extraordinary one, Peculiar Kitchen! Read more

I was looking for a place to get dinner while in town and found this location. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby.... When I walked in I was greeted and was asked if I wanted to sit at the bar which I did. Steve was my server and he was reallynice. I started with the pinot nior and it was served in a small glass lol which I joked about. I also wanted to try the salmontacos but it was served cold which I wasn't feeling so I had to send it back so I went with the fried yucca. The fried yucca wasvery tasty and so was the Indian dip they used. For my meal I got the curry impossible ramen. It looked great when it came out.It was ok in taste. The broth and noodles were good but the impossible meatballs were not the best. Its could of used someseasoning. The bill came to about $46. All in all I had a pretty decent time. Read more
