The sushi was good, but we ordered 5 specially rolls and they were brought out one at a time. I am not sure if this is how they... do it (like a tasting menu), but I much would have preferred all the rolls to come out together. Best sushi in the area!! I love that they also have another location close by and are closed on different days so if one is... closed one day, it is worth it to go to the other location! Food was very good but very expensive compared to other sushi places in the area. Lunch crowd was quiet. Maybe they should offer... specials for lunch to get a full restaurant. I'm sure food prices have gone thru the roof but they don't have a large staff. Ithink people are starting to really notice how expensive food is getting and I believe they are losing customers due the price.Lets see if they do the right thing for their business. Terrific sushi. I highly recommend this place, and it's worth the drive. Menu takes a little getting used to, and they have a... lot of options to try that you may not know. The staff was great. Very friendly, responsive. And willing to explain early itemson the menu and even suggest what to pair items with. This is a must try sushi place. It's worth a 30 - 45 min drive as it's notclose to most places. Great food...you will not be disappointed. Read more

Yumi has been one of my favorite restaurants in the entirety of Monmouth County for the 10+ years I lived in this community.... Firstly, the location is gorgeous right by the water. See sunset pic below as proof! Secondly, the menu is absolutely massive,from sushi and other raw fish dishes to items fully cooked from the kitchen, I?ve never had anything here that I didn?t like.Many of the items on the menu are also super innovative - things I don?t typically see at other Japanese restaurants, even inNew York City. Thirdly, this place is super buttoned up in terms of service and how the dishes are plated. I love coming hereand hope it?s around for years to come. Read more

The food here is outstanding. The plating is creative and beautiful. We had everything from the tuna tacos to pork belly ramen... to a banana and chocolate pouch for dessert.
