We had dinner here twice on a family vacation in late August 2022. Friday night service was slow but they did have two excellent... fish specials. On Sunday night the place was relatively empty and service was good, but the two fish specials had been removedand not replaced with anything else. It was pleasant to sit outside with the street tables, and the servers were friendly.However compared to other Italian restaurants the food here is very average, which is why it was probably easy to get areservation during a peak vacation period. There are much better Italian restaurants in the area. We would not come back againunless it was the only place we could get a reservation. Read more

Four stars is pretty generous, and it’s mainly because they had nice outdoor seating, and several of the staff were very nice... to my family. The food was inconsistent (at best), however, the bathroom was gross, and there were several issues with what weordered. They seem like maybe they’re a victim of staffing shortages. Wish them well. The food was good, but the waitress was to me not very professional. Asked if we wanted a drink my partner did, I said I was... going to wait. Came back like 4 times but pushy, like in a hurry. I asked do we need to rush here, she said no, I felt like shewas rushing us. I was given a birthday offer of $20. Off birthday entrée. She said it come off when bill is done ok great. Whenshe handed the bill she said the $20. Comes off the $90. bill making it $70. but u leave the tip on the $90. I thought a tip isnot mandatory even though we always do minimum of 20% or more. But the fact that she made me feel uncomfortable to begin withthis really put me over. I didn’t think it was professional of her at all to ask that of us. So we tipped accordingly what aunprofessional waitress deserved which to me was still to much. 15%. It turned me off to the place. Sad, nice atmosphere, goodfood. Read more

Never again!! We had a reservation for 5 for the patio. After a 25-minute wait, we were seated at a table for 4, with a small... extra chair at the end, next to the open door to the interior. Blaring music was deafening and relentless. We could not speakabove it. After an interminable wait, we got our drinks. The waitress was very sympathetic about the noise, but said the managerrefused her request to lower it. We asked to be seated at another empty table, far from the noise, and our request was refused.We asked for the check, which we got after another long wait, paid for our drinks and left. None of this was the waitress'fault. There are dozens of excellent restaurants with courteous service in the area; this is not one of them. Read more

Very disappointing experience. We were in Sea Girt on vacation and had made a reservation for 5:45 on a Thursday night and was... given a tiny table by the men's room door. When we asked for another table, we were offered a tiny table outside. The onlyproblem was that being late July, the outside temperature was 87 degrees. No good. We decided to leave and take our businesselsewhere. Hostess was very rude and treated us poorly. Mr Fratello and his staff, can jump in the Atlantic Ocean (about 1 milefrom there) as far as I am concerned. There are too many other fine restaurants in that area to justify going back toFratello's. Very disappointed. Been coming here a while and the service was absolutely terrible. I will never come back here again. Even... after waiting 2 hours, they brought out the meals one by one. The manager didn’t accommodate us. Half of our party did not gettheir meal and did not eat. Unfortunately, I do not recommend this place anymore. Read more

First time dining at Fratello's. We did not have reservations. Manager Mike gladly seated us on a very busy night. The service... was outstanding. These folks were really working hard to provide an excellent dining experience. The meal was delicious. Itshows even under very stressed conditions you can create and keep customer. I will return. Old School Local Spot from the minute you walk in the door. We like to go for a late lunch around 3:00 to be finished just... before dinner time to avoid any crowds and we hit the timing perfect yesterday. We went straight to the bar and met Joe thebartender. He has been here for 28 years and from the moment we met him we were hooked. He knows the menus inside and out andknew every person who walked through the door by name. By the time we left, we felt we knew him forever too! Just the nicestman and represented the establishment so well. Spoke with several servers as they came in to work the dinner shift and althoughwe did not get everyone's name, they were all very welcoming to us. You could tell many employee's have been there a long time. They offer an array of early specials and we were so impressed that it was not just well drinks. Rich ordered a bottle of hisfavorite wine and it was also included at a discount, no other places do this from our experience. Food wise we had the Thaicalamari, recommended by Joe. Just delicious, we started eating it before we took a picture so just know the plate was largerbefore we took the pic! We loved that it was dusted in flour but not breading on top of it. Really let the taste of the Thaichili sauce enrobe the calamari. For entree's I had shrimp francese and the shrimp were very generous as they were very largeand cooked perfectly. Only thing I would say is I would prefer more sauce since I had it over angel hair pasta and next time Iwill just ask for it more "saucy". Rich wanted Veal Milanese, (not on the menu) however the bartender who took over from Joe'sshift Brad, asked the chef and because it was still not too busy the chef said he would make it. Another excellent nod to alocal place who will accommodate when the crowd size allows. Rich loved the dish, he had broccoli rabe on the side extra spicy.
