Wow. Amazing food, large portions and quick service!
Wife ordered online. Went in and told them her name. They told me it would be a couple of minutes. I sat down and watched them... call out names for the other folks who were waiting. Waited 15 minutes past my pickup time and walked up to find out how muchlonger, only to learn that it wasn?t under her name after all and the bag is just sitting there. This of course is partially myfault but annoying nonetheless. The 1 star is for when we got home and my beef brisket sandwich was missing. Salt in the wound.Never going back. Read more
Went here because my daughter has gone before and was SO Disappointed! I paid $20.00 and couldn't even recognize the meat put... before me? It was pulled pork? It was more like a brillo pad! Brussel sprouts were cooked very crispy, again over cooked andunrecognizable. Most disgusting meal ever had. Service sucked too! 6/15/22 7:15pm. Never to return. Had to give 1 star topost, but definitely not worthy of that! Read more
This place has good food that comes out relatively fast for BBQ. The food is nothing to write home about, but definitely great... for a quick bite with some generous portions. Read more
Did my first takeout Saturday evening and thought the entire experience went extremely well. It started with the online... ordering which went smoothly. My girlfriend and I picked the 3-meat combo and as we went through the ordering process, we wereeasily able to select what sides and extras that we wanted. We completed and submitted our order and then were given a timethat it would be ready. We arrived a few minutes early and the girl at the counter told us our food was ready to go. There wasa condiment station inside that allowed us to throw in napkins, utensils and various packets of toppings. When we got home wewere quite pleased that what was inside the bag was exactly as ordered. The food was fantastic! Ribs were fall-off-the-bone. The chicken was so tender that we were able to cut ourselves pieces without using a knife. We had sides of string beans, Macand Cheese, cornbread and onion rings which were all quite good. It seems to me that this restaurant works better for takeoutthan dine-in. While there is seating to dine there, it comes across as more as a fast-food type setting than a nice sit-downrestaurant. That's fine. The food is superb and we plan on doing more takeout from Local Smoke BBQ very soon. Read more
Ordered a two meat platter twice. First time was half a chicken and brisket, second time was half a chicken and pulled pork.... Chicken was great both times, no complaints there. But the brisket was dry and not very flavorful and I needed to add my ownsauce to make it decent. The pulled pork was downright horrible. I've never seen pulled pork with no sauce on it...it was justdry, tough meat. Absolutely disgusting, and no amount of sauce could make it better. Read more
The food was great. I grew up in NC so I definitely know good bbq. The ribs were fall off the bone, the chicken was well... seasoned and not dry and the chopped bbq had a great flavor even though I prefer a little more vinegar flavor. The biggestsurprise was how well seasoned the collard greens were. I will definitely make it a point to visit again when in the JerseyShore area. Read more
