Stopped in here for dinner mid Oct 2022. They had a table so that was good. The menu is mainly fish, which the wife had their... fish and chips/fries, and I had their burger. The burger was great, the best I have had for a long time. The wife also said thef&C were also good. On the wall board they list a whole set of specials but also all the home made deserts. We had theblueberry pie and ice cream, which was really tasty. The staff were all really good and friendly. I would well recommend thisplace for any family dinner. Oh, the cost is great value. Normally we enjoy the fried seafood. This time I decided to order broiled scallops and salmon tips. Not only did I only get... pieces of scallops, there was ZERO flavor. No salt, no butter, no lemon wedge at all. How can you make scallops and salmon tastelike a glass of water and charge what you charge for it? A family friendly restaurant on the way to points north (and south) for us. We return as often as we can. The welcome is... genuine, the food is very good. The atmosphere is warm, honoring those who bring in the fish. There is a particular respect forveterans and a table set in their honor, for those who served and cannot be there. Read more
Great service! Most menu items were seafood, of course, but there were a number of other options as well. The meal was... perfectly prepared and delicious. All the many baked desserts listed were homemade. I had Maine wild blueberry pie. Heavenly! The meal cost was quite reasonable. Read more
So good! Unassuming place with some fishing related decor, we came for dinner 9 minutes before th we'd kitchen closed, and they... still made a perfect meal for us. Had the NE clam chowder (delicious! )and the Wednesday fried fish special with home friedpotato chips, and when they say perfectly fried, they mean it! Desert is supposed to be superb as well, but we were too fullthis time around :) Kiddo got a folded boat plate with the meal inside, which made her happy. Read more
My boyfriend and I were several hours in to a very cold motorcycle ride this past weekend when we happened to find Anglers. The... food was good (and hot) and the service was fast. It was a great place to stop for a quick bite before we continued to BarHarbor/Acadia. Perfect location for a late lunch. We will be back! Read more
Very happy with this find. Driving from NY to Acadia and need to find restaurant by pretty late. Not too many restaurants opens... at 7:30 and offers Maine's local catch. We wasn't big fan of fried stuff, but Anglers made it right. The fried baby shrimp hasa light coating and are very sweet. The lobster roll has lots of lobster meat and very fresh tasting. The boiled haddock isjuicy and no fishy smell. The coleslaw is also very good. We are all very impressed with the food taste and quality. Spentabout $100 for 4 adults and 1 kids. Good price for seafood. We also messed up the order when we call in. We wanted haddock and Ipronounced it wrong and they put in hot dog. They changed the order once we arrived and only asked us to paid the difference.Very friendly staff. Read more
