This place is such a staple on the Jersey shore! The staff is super friendly and helpful. They have a large menu consisting of... everything from eggs and omelettes to Mickey Mouse pancakes and waffles with ice cream! My favorite is the potato Benedict withpork roll:) They have a nice lunch menu as well. Great outdoor seating with umbrellas too! Highly recommend. Read more

Stopped in for breakfast Tuesday morning at 9 o'clock was seated right away. THE PLACE WAS NOT CROWDED! We sat there for about... 10 minutes without anyone waiting on US! My husband said that's it after waitress went to tables that were already there to askif everything was alright and if they needed more coffee. Favorite breakfast/lunch spot down the shore! Excellent food, friendly staff, great service - Definitely recommend! The potato... Benedict, crab cake sandwich, and waffle with ice cream are some of my go to orders. Plus you can customize omelettes, adddifferent things to your pancakes, and create your own wraps which I really like. We went here for a late breakfast and so happy we did! Everyone was happy with their food: lox benedict eggs, chicken caesar... wrap, and Micky Mouse pancakes- all were delish! The place has large indoor sitting area and some outdoor tables. We likedlittle ocean-themed details in the restaurant. For coffee lovers- they have an espresso machine! We made an excellent choice heading right down the road to Ortley Beach for Mother?s Day breakfast at Sunny Hunny by the Sea... Family Pancake House and Restaurant. (I couldn?t resist the name) Sunny Hunny originally opened in the 1960s and is a womenlead business in New Jersey. The restaurant has been in the family of the owner for 35 years - and they have plenty of storiesto share from over the years?one in particular being their story of enduring the effects from Hurricane Sandy. In the words ofthe family: ?This one story structure, located one block from the beach on 6th ave in Ortley (Right down the street from theformer location of the surf club) was able to withstand the power of Sandy with only minimal water damage, in relation to thesurrounding area. It was a miracle that my Wife?s family was able to continue operating and survived the years following, evenwith the hit that tourism took.?
