When I lived in Seattle, I would pop in every so often for a nice latte and the macaroons for a sweet treat. Seasonal flavors... too. The pain au chocolat was perfect. They have so many delectable treats from small cakes, cookies, and everything yummy. Onmy last visit, I picked up their ham and cheese baguette sandwich. ???????? Used to be lovely. I haven?t been here in perhaps 2-3 years. I was sad to see so few options for croissant and pastries, as... well their breakfast sandwich is $10, and seems fairly lean on elements in the sandwich. It seems quite overpriced. UltimatelyI just got coffee on this visit. The barista was friendly. The cashier was seemingly distracted. Pricing was listed on abouthalf of what little product was on display. Got a chocolate croissant and two macaroons. Really good price for quality. The seating and atmosphere was great and friendly... staff. I sat around for an hour slowly eating and was never bothered, so that was nice. Everything good and clean! Amazing andtasty. Read more
I stopped by Belle Epicurean Bakery one day after visiting Washington Park and had a butter croissant. The croissant was pretty... subpar, soft and lack texture, I was disappointed. Some other pastries look good though, and they have a quite nice provisionssection. Read more
UPDATE?The owner pointed out that there is designated parking spaces on the both of the alley which I did not realize despite of... the sign. So, I'm correcting the information here. I had house chai and a dessert. They were busy and had to wait for a whileto get my drink. Chai was excellent! Not too sweet. My dessert was tasty as well. They have outdoor seating in the back as wellas small sections of indoor seating. Read more
While clean and architecturally pleasing, we are only giving 3 stars to Belle Epicurean. It was an ok place for morning coffee... and treats, but we were hoping for something better. The greeting and service were ok but nothing special. Bakery cases weremostly empty, though the items in them were fine but not spectacular. The shelves with items for sale in the main customer areawere partly empty and not thoughtfully stocked with display items for sale. Read more
First time came to this bakery. We ordered chai tea, almond croissant and quiches. Chai tea has too much form only half left. ... Many bake good selections. They have wine section where you can sit and enjoy your coffee. Read more
