We were told this was the best restaurant in the village by several people, or at least one, it was from an employee from one of... the shops. Mejuri. It was two employees from Mejuri, they told us to eat here first before we try any of the other numerousoptions of restaurants here in the University Village Shopping Center. And let me tell you all, it did not disappoint. Weordered their broccoli, fried rice, a cold noodle salad and the dumpling soup. It was all delicious. That broccoli was seriouslythe best broccoli dish I?ve ever eaten. You all should try it too. Read more

You can actually make reservations at this @dintaifungusa location, which is not even possible in Taiwan. So that?s pretty... amazing???? Quality of food is on par with the San Jose location, but service is a bit below (e.g. not wiping down the table andgiving us new plates/utensils when moving on to desserts, this is standard DTF process at least in Taiwan). This might be thefirst time I?ve ordered chicken soup instead of hot & sour soup. Also really yummy! Reminds me of home?? Read more

Good food, good service?welp, there?s a reason why there?s always a line up outside. The only thing maybe they can think about... is if there?s a better solution to dispense sanitizer for people away at the table. A little bit weird to dispense it on anapkin to leave them for us to use, but nothing to deter them from 5 stars. Read more

Wait was about 20 minutes for a table on a Monday night around 6 pm. Once seated, order was placed (as we viewed menu items... while waiting). Timing of appetizer and dumplings/rice/noodles came spaced perfectly apart. Very attentive and friendly staff. Everything we ordered was super delicious and flavorful - the cucumber salad and spicy shrimp & pork wontons were everyone?sfavorite. Highly recommend. Read more

The pork xiao long baos are a must-have and a classic from chinese restaurants like these (similarly at Dough Zone). We also had... the shrimp & pork dumpling, as well as the sauteed string bean, which I highly recommend. We were well served and the food wasdelicious! The only true downside to this place is the price. We spent around 25 to 30 dollars per person, and while the foodwas good, it didn't quite feel up to the price. Probably not a place to go to regularly, but great for special days or onoccasion! We were also not able to book a reservation so we had to get in queue, which was around a 30 minute wait on a Fridaynight (7pm), which was not terrible at all. Read more

I have been a fan of Din Tai Fung since they opened their location in Bellevue. I'm excited I finally got to dine in at their... University Village location. Dishes here always have great flavor. My guilty pleasure is their kurobata pork fried rice, but thebest things on the menu have to be the pork XLB (soup dumplings) and the chicken wontons with spicy sauce. What I reallyrecommend, though, is ordering the noodles with spicy sauce to take home after your meal, and eating them cold the next day. Allof the food is really good, and I could rave about everything I've ever eaten. There are some things to note- one is that theportion sizes are kind of small for the price, so eating more than a few items gets expensive quickly. Also, at this locationgetting into the restaurant itself is confusing. We were put on a wait list to check in, but were not told how to check in (atthe stand inside). We also waited a while for our dessert, but it was really tasty. I definitely recommend dining here if youcan afford to. Read more

I couldn?t decide between the chicken noodle soup or shrimp fried rice, so I got both ???? And I wanted some greens, so got an... order of mustard greens. The greens, and many other dishes are meant to be shared (family style). The fried rice was too saltyfor me. The soup broth was perfect because I could add the vinegar, hot pepper sauce, and soy sauce without it becoming toosalty. However there was a vegetable in the soup that tasted canned, so put that aside. The greens were good too. (Taking somehome in a box) ???????? Read more
