Their breakfast sandwiches are so amazing. Their eggs are extremely fresh and cooked to perfection. Staff is so kind, they have... been short staffed but the staff wouldn?t make you think that. Will be going here regularly now. Read more

The bread here is great but the sandwiches and service, not so much. I just stopped in for a loaf of bread and a Happy Goat... sandwich. My bread was smashed at the bottom of the bag and the sandwich, which was about $13 I might add, consisted of goatcheese, a piece of lettuce (literally a piece), and some avocado. Where were the local veggies that were mentioned in thedescription? I was craving a toasted sandwich with creamy goat cheese and crunchy veggies and instead I got the most boring, mushy, tasteless sandwich I?ve ever paid for. Also, it?s took 20 minutes to make that! I?ll never get a sandwich from hereagain. Read more

As the name suggests, lots of bakery options with good coffee. There?s a good variety of vegetarian sandwiches, and some goods... to help cook at home too. It?s somewhat expensive - $12 for a veggie sandwich. Read more

I ordered a sandwich here and when I bit into it I found a five inch long stick. I called to tell them and was told "This... happens sometimes with the organic greens we get from Charlie's produce." They refunded just that sandwich from my order. Sojust keep in mind that sometimes your food from here will have a branch in it. Unreal. Read more

A friend and I had brunch here today. Unfortunately, it was not good. I ordered the seasonal special, a BLT. When it arrived I... noticed that the tomato wasn't sliced, there was a third of a tomato chunk with a hole where the stem had been. The bacon wasextremely cold and congealed. I went to the counter and asked about it and was told "that's how we do it." I clarified, coldbacon? Yes, cold bacon. They offered to heat the bacon up, taking it with mayo on it and putting it in the microwave. Ideclined. I've never had a BLT "Seasonal Special" with bacon that had been cooked earlier that day and refrigerated. Nor had Iexpected big chunks of icy tomato. I paid $15 for this sandwich and coffee. The coffee was fine, the sandwich was inedible. Wewaited about 20 minutes for our food. My friend got hers first, mine five minutes later although we were eating together. Iwill not return here. $15 is an expensive sandwich. You reasonably anticipate that it will be good. Warm, crisp bacon, slicedtomato, lettuce on fresh bread. The bread was good, the rest was quite bad. I understand that Grand Central Bakery specializesin bread and pastries. I can't speak to the quality of those items but the atmosphere was unpleasant, the tables were dirty, andthe food was bad. Read more

Got a sourdough loaf, and a pretty-good breakfast sandwich. I?ll likely try the bacon next time, as the sausage was a smidge on... the bland side. Read more

Newly opened bakery right in the middle of "downtown" Wallingford! They're currently still in soft opening, but a sign outside... their door says that they'll be starting regular hours tomorrow. Ambiance is very relaxed, with seating capacity of maybe 25-30on tables and another 15 for bar seating. Interior is quite large for a bakery, with high ceilings and a good lighting. Lots offamilies when I went. I ordered a latte, chocolate croissant, and their sausage egg biscuit. The pastry and latte were bothgood; the sausage biscuit was a little plain, but otherwise decent. Service was timely in spite of the soft opening, andeveryone was very friendly. I'd give a 5 star for the location and vibe, and a 4 star for the food. Read more
