Was so happy to finally get a pastry and a coffee here! I loved my experience. Helped me with deciding and I got the Ube cookie... and latte. What a huge smile it brought to my face. Yum yum yum! So good, love the fact it was open so early with no line. (Usually it is packed with a huge line so beware,... although I have mastered which times are best to go hehe) I recommend everything and anything from them, words cannot describehow much I love this place and how much of a positive impact it is for the Filipino community. Service is excellent - the staff is prompt and super helpful. They help you navigate the menu and offerings. Lots of Ube and... pandan selections both in beverages and desserts/pastries. There is seating indoors but best suited for small parties. My Ubelatte was delish. Read more
Great place to grab a drink and a pastry before work or just about whenever you need a pick me up. I've had the hojicha and chai... lattes which were great and up my alley! So I recommend if you like herb/ tea lattes and the pork ube bun is vdelicious! Everyone's friendly and helpful! They allow you to bring your own cup which is great as well! Definitely a go-tocaffeine spot when I'm in the area :) Read more
Hood Cafe is amazing! I ordered two foods and a dessert, and everything is delicious. The host greeted me when I came in and... made sure I knew how to find a seat and use the ordering system. My cup of water hasn?t been empty the whole time I?ve been herewith how constantly the staff refill it. The bathroom is clean and well-lit. It?s perfect walking distance from both sportsstadiums. Great selection of coffee and mainly dropped by to try the ube flavors. The ube cheesecake was melt in your mouth smooth with a... crumbly crust, they also have pandan cheesecake. Small coffee and pastry shop with an interesting offering. I had a latte with pandan syrup, which wasn't as interesting as I had... hoped. Isn't pandan supposed to be green? All I could taste is just extra sweetness. Service is friendly though and theatmosphere is relaxing. Read more
We went here after hearing about a Filipino cafe near Uwajimaya. I tried their ube latte. The coffee was pretty good but the... ube flavour wasn?t too strong. I would probably come back here to try something else instead since they had a number of Filipinoinspired items on their menu. They had lots of yummy looking pastries like guava cheesecake, buko (coconut) pandan cheesecake,calamansi cream trifle, etc. There were lots of seats available, so it?s a good place to hang out with friends or do some work.We were luckily able to find free street parking nearby.
