Positives: service was great - very helpful and super friendly. Ambiance and space was really nice with outdoor seating... option. Negative: the food was mostly a miss. Appetisers were not very flavourful and often mostly tasting of salt. The pastawith shrimp was good however. The gelato was especially disappointing - texture was not smooth, had ice crystals and wasflavourless. Read more

Delicious food, great service and a cozy atmosphere. How to Cook a Wolf checks all the boxes on a top notch meal in Seattle. The... best thing we had were the Yeasted Polenta Fritters--YUM! The Smoked Cauliflower was good, though not rave-worthy. The Paccheriand Campanelle were delicious pasta options. Read more

Service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. You just need to supply the great company to complete the dining... experience. We were here during restaurant week so had the opportunity to sample quite a bit of the menu. The starters weretasty (Cauliflower, Fritters, and salad). For mains, we shared the Gnocchi, Campanelle, and Spaghetti. Gnocchi with elk was richand hearty. The Campanelle was a nice contrast with its much lighter tomato sauce. This was a simple sauce without a lot ofextra 'fluff' which I really appreciated. The anchovy Spaghetti was quite strong, which is to be expected. I would probably sayit was my least favorite of the three only because I felt it could be a little overpowering. Dessert was lovely. Chocolate cakewas quite rich while the panna cotta was light and refreshing. The pistachio gelato was the favorite at our table. Read more

We enjoyed our experience here. Casual fine dining. Friendly and professional staff and nice atmosphere. Plenty of outdoor... seating as well. There is a 4% surcharge due to the pandemic. In April 2022 :/ Read more

Heated outdoor seating is a major plus for those of us still wary of indoor dining. For those extra cautious, tables are not all... 6 ft apart. Vaccination cards checked for indoor seating. We were happier with our apps/sides than the mains. The BuffaloMozzarella and Polenta Fritters are highly recommended - neither will disappoint with the former offering something a bitlighter/healthier, and the latter being lightly fried to balance it out. And as tempted as we were to not fill up on bread, don't skip the Sea Wolf bread which comes with a to-die-for herbed honey-butter. I've never been so disappointed by steak. Weordered the Hanger Steak ($45) and it was quite tasteless. We were enjoying our rare date night so rather than making a fuss, wejust ate it anyway but I can't express how disappointing it was. The Agnolotti was interesting - the server described it similarto ravioli but more like little "pillows" which was an accurate description. It was good, maybe even very good, but notsomething I'd be left thinking about later (unlike the aforementioned apps). Cocktails great - I recommend the Bee Hive. Sinceit was our anniversary, they brought us tiny glasses of (good quality) bubbles, which was a nice touch although we werestrangely charged $3 for the "comp bubbles" which was not a big deal but a little awkward/weird. The service was the rightbalance of attentive + giving you space to enjoy your company. Read more
