We came here for dinner on a weekday & it was busy. We started with the calamari simmered in garlic & tomatoes. A nice change... from being fried. We also had the salad special of grilled peach with greens. A couple of us had the dinner special of halibutand squid ink pasta. The halibut was cooked slightly too long but still full of flavour. I enjoyed the pasta. The other dinerordered seafood ravioli which was delish. Seafood was fresh & tasty. We had the key lime pie dessert. We enjoyed it as it waslike a cheesecake texture. They really entice you with the dessert tray showing all their tasty desserts. There’s a parkadenearby but try to park on the street out front. The ambience was perfect on a summer evening. One of the favorite Italian restaurants in town. Appetizer- we always choose crab bruschetta, with tomatoes on the side (they... are too garlicy for me). Main- My favorite pasta is crab ravioli, my husband tried this time venison pasta which I think wasabsolutely the best, specially rich flavorful sauce. We also shared pesto fettuccine with shrimps. Carmine never disappoints with fabulous fresh Italian fare, carefully selected wines and craft cocktails along with the famous... dessert tray. The burrata is served quite chilled which provides a lovely mouth experience coupled with fresh arugula, velvetyaged balsamic and a nice fruitful citrus and oil dressing. The bolognese is a classic favorite. I happen to love the linguinewith clams. The pasta is perfectly cooked no matter which selection you choose. The chicken with ricotta and brown butter sagesauce was a pleasant surprise. The flavors are excellent! The NY with peppercorn sauce not only smelled great but was thoroughlyenjoyed. Save room for dessert! You will need the Tiramisu and potentially another because life is short. Tip- for thosenon-drinkers or someone that fancies soda...try the La Nostra Gazzosa. Absolutely amazing dinning experience. Came here with my boyfriend. I’m bummed I didn’t take any pictures of our food, but... honestly I was just enjoying the dinner so much. Excellent service, atmosphere and food. Everything was perfect. Especially thelamb rack ????. Especially the staff. So kind, great recommendations. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back. The food was amazing as expected, the place is very well staffed and everyone was nice and polite. All that said, the highlight... of the night was the drinks. Probably the best in town. Simple, elegant and classic. We loved it and definitely made it to ourtop places to dine. Read more
Lovely atmosphere, very attentive, friendly, and flexible staff, fantastic cocktails, great variety of choices, delicious food... with good portions, fair pricing, and on top of all that: managed to find us a table without a reservation. Would recommend areservation though because it’s very busy! Desserts and coffee are to die for. No complaints :) will be coming back!! Read more
This place was absolutely fantastic! It was recommended by the folks at Browne Family Vineyards next-door. We were greeted by... who I believe was the manager as well as a couple of hosts. We didn’t have a reservation and it was about 5 PM and though wetried to get an outdoor table, we ended up sitting inside as the outdoor tables were spoken for. While we did not decide tohave any alcohol, since we just came from a very in-depth wine tasting, we did split a wonderful salad and beef carpaccio to getthe meal started. We followed that with an incredible duck confit with risotto which we shared and then ordered a couple ofdesserts. Our waiter, Joe, was incredible as were the rest of the staff we came in contact with. The place was clean, classyand gorgeous and attention to detail was the name of the game! M For the above mentioned items our bill was only a little over$100… So I suppose if you each get an entrée and actually have a drink the bill could be around $200 for two people.Honestly, at a place like this, it is absolutely worth it!
