Great vibe. Tiny but packs a punch: amazingly diverse liquor assortment on the walls.
DISHONEST ON RECEIPTS: The place is beautiful, and for a few short minutes we were served by an absolutely lovely server, but... when the next server/bartender duo took over things went downhill. Our group didn't have any particularly difficult requests,would have just loved to be checked on in under 30/40 minutes between drinks, especially since there were fewer than10 otherguests in the whole place. They forgot to add a couple drinks to the bill, which we told them, and they actually seemed annoyedat our honesty. Oh speaking of honesty, more than one of us have credit card bills that are slightly higher than what we signedfor, so watch out for receipt editing by Bryan J (glad we took a photo). It's subtle $1 - $4. We also waited ages to pay at ourtable, then were told that the US doesn't have technology that goes to the tables (except for the last 10 restaurants we went toeither did, or were kind enough to collect our cards). There was a small group of us and the bartender had a real problem with us paying individually. To make it easier for him I... just said I?d pay $20, drinks, tax and tip included. My order was 2 ciders ($6 each), so a total of $12 plus tax. $20 was verygenerous (especially considering the bad attitude we were subjected to). In the tip section I wrote ?incl.? (as in, the tip isincluded in my declared amount). I told the bartender that?s what I was doing, and while he was irritated and said I shouldn?tdo that, he didn?t print me off a new transaction receipt. So I just went with it. In my haste to leave, I didn?t write in afinal amount, so guess what, they took the liberty of adding on another tip after I left. Was charged $24 on my credit card.This is theft and fraud. Absolute worst service and the rudest staff we encountered on our entire trip to Seattle. We were not rude or obnoxious... customers by any means, there were 5 of us and we all ordered cocktails. The staff were slow, never checked on us, and when itcame time to pay they refused to split the bill and made a comment about our being Canadian and that we shouldn?t ?act like theweird bill split is a normal thing?. if you are a new customer be prepared to get an attitude from the server, she make us feel so uncomfortable that we had to... leave. At first we thought was because of our race, but reading other reviews now we know the attitude is for everyone ????. Very cute, hole-in-the-wall vibes. Drinks are good, food was limited in option (I?d say if you don?t like cheese, tinned fish or... charcuterie, there won?t be much else on the menu). Come here for a night cap before you head home. Perfect way to end theevening. Read more
Prepare to get cozy in this bustling but intimate bar off the main thoroughfare of Pike Place Market. Tinned fish plate (you... choose your fish) not to be missed. Octopus and scallops in tomato sauce both a hit. Bartenders make excellent and inspiredcocktails if you can?t make a decision for yourself. Cute spot with limited seating in a great location. Don?t be in a rush when you come here, the vibe is definitely more ?lazy... afternoon with nothing to do?. The service is friendly but it?s not fast. And because it?s so small it fills up fast. I did notesitting at the bar will get you better service than at the table. Read more
