Solid local grocery store that has all you need and carries a nice variety of local products throughout the store. Friendly... staff is always a plus, and there is dedicated parking; always a win for urban markets! Read more

Ken's Market is a fanatic little market. I don't do a ton of grocery shopping here, but let me tell you about the... sandwiches. Ken's is the only place I've found in Seattle that does custom deli counter sandwiches. They are fantastic. Replaceyour mayo with their garlic aioli. Boar's Head products too. Extremely tasty. Great PNW beer selection stocked with all sortsof stuff I've never tried. I haven't had a bad pre-prepared dish or meal yet. They're all fantastic. Maybe a little pricey fora "regular" grocery visit. But you can heal that wound with what you can find on their cheese island. They have a really robustand thoughtful selection of cheese. You can look at it when you're waiting for your sandwich. There was a week or three whenstaffing didn't allow for custom sandwiches. They were the worst weeks of my life. Go to Ken's. Eat a sandwich! Read more

Ken's and its sister store, Marketime (in Fremont), are remarkable for their wide range of high-quality produce, groceries and... prepared foods despite being smaller in size than big chain supermarkets; friendly, helpful staff are a plus. Read more

Great little grocery store. Not a huge selection of produce, but I was able to get what I needed. What really brought us to... Ken's though was an article in the Sub-Missives column in The Stranger, which praised Ken's pre-made sandwiches. The Chinesepork sandwich (with the unexpected addition of mortadella) and the turkey on rosemary bread were delicious. I believe theirbread is from Macrina Bakery, which is a plus. Likely won't be doing our regular shopping here, but we'll be back for thesandwiches. Read more

Very cool local shop with a nice selection of the basics but with a small town feel, and most importantly LOTS of items from... local businesses. Great place to pickup beers from local breweries, and my "go to" is to get Lighthouse Roasters coffee beans.Lighthouse is the BEST coffee, and their coffee shop isn't open very late - so it's so nice to be able to find their amazinglydelicious fresh beans at the local shop who supports their local businesses (and stays open late). Everytime you come to Ken'syou're likely to find a new flavorful treasure that you didn't know about before, and is often from nearby! Read more
