It's a good place to experience a Brazilian bakery. I love the Summer drink menu. I couldn't choose a favorite, all them are... good. It has a lack of vegan options with only drinks and açaí available, but it's plenty of vegetarian options. It also havea small shelf with Brazilian goods and the website has a lot of options to delivery or to order in advance and pick up late. Ifyou don't know Brazilian food, I'll suggest a Brazilian cheese bread (pão de queijo) with a Brazilian latte. You won't regret. Read more

Oh snap, the kitanda bread is Gluten Free! I had the Romeo and Juliet, it was fantastic. The chicken cone I had was not GF but... it was equally as tasty. The manager (owner?) was super nice to me and gave me a great rundown of what they make and sell. Superfun place, I'm so glad I smelled something tasty and doubled back to check them out! Read more

Small Brazilian restaurant at corner of Broadway and John (across from Capitol Hill light rail station) that serves Brazilian... food and drinks. I had the egg, spinach and cheese sandwich on Kitanda Bread and it was very good. The place was clean and thesandwich was made quickly after I ordered it. Read more

This used to be our weekend lunch until we found out that the smoothie bowls/fruit bowls are full of added sugar -like a lot of... it. The staff is great and I like the coffee. Before we started our plant based journey we loved the cheese bread. However thestar for us were the smoothie bowls. They are delicious but essentially a sugary dessert than a healthy treat. The problem isthat none of the online, in app, or in store advertises this fact. It feels misleading and inauthentic. I found out because Isaw them make the smoothie bowls and on the container of the açaí sugar bucket I saw the nutrition info. Wish it wasgenuinely healthy and honest in messaging. Read more

Oh boy these Brazilian cheese bread sandwiches are sooo good! Pão de queijo has a chewy, mochi-like texture that I really dig.... I got two cheese bread sandwiches and both are delicious. They've got fantastic values given the reasonable prices (twosandwiches for less than $10)! Service was friendly. I was warned that I had to wait for about 15 minutes because they just ranout of cheese bread but I got mine freshly out of the oven so I have nothing to complain. Read more

Brazilian treats and unique eats! This was the first time I've tried acai bowls and they did not disappoint. I'm also a fan of... the coconut patties, not too sweet and just the right amount of filling. If there was something to improve it would be theseasoning of the beef and chicken filled buns, they were good but maybe not what I'm used to. The cheese bread sandwiches arelite, tasty additions to a cup of coffee or (my favorite) chai. Next time I visit I'll try the kibe and a cheese roll. Kitandalooks to be a great addition to Cap Hill!
