5/5 for location, decor and the vibe. 5/5 for good presentation. 3/5 on the food itself. Bread to fish proportion was way off -... had 3 bites of breading before I got to my fish. They were out of halibut so we got cod - pretty bland. I?ve been on a seriousfish n chips kick lately so we?ve been trying all the recommended spots. Not my fave by any means. The chips were pretty mushy,not very crispy at all. Sadly I won?t be back and I don?t recommend given the $$$$. Go for a happy hour but you?re not missinganything when it comes to full size. I've been to Scotland many times and constantly try to find a bar here in the US that will give me a similar experience to that... of one there. This is the best Scottish bar one can ever go to here in the US. There's no comparison! This place is amazing!Despite not having Bellhaven on draft they do have Tennet's, which is pretty amazing. Their scotch collection is equallysurprising too. If you want to visit a Scotland pub but don't want to spend the money, then come here. Place is amazing! Read more
We used to go often before pandemic. We recently dine there and we were happy as it used to be. I ordered my favorite ?Salmon... sandwich?. We also ordered the fish taco and fish and chips. All were great. Service was again pretty good and fast. The happyis very convenient and affordable. Read more
You won't find a pub like this in Scotland because perfect pubs like MacLeod's are a thing of the past in Scotland. And they... don't serve food like this in Scotland! Fresh ingredients bursting with flavor. And generous portions. MacLeod's in Ballard is aperfect Scottish pub that's not in Scotland. I love this place. Read more
Very lively place! And great staff!! Go here if you want some smooth Scottish whiskey! Our group tried their flights - Highland... and a Tour of Scotland! Everyone loved it so much we ended up ordering more! I do wish that they add some vegetarian options tothe menu, apart from chips(fries)! Read more
I love the ambience of the place and great selection of whiskey. It is just perfect to sit with friends on a rainy... evening. Very mediocre food. Happy they?ve improved since our last visit and the fish is not raw inside, we got sick and had tocomplain to health department. Read more
