I used to go to Matt's Famously 20 years ago. I stopped by today and it's just as great as it used to be. The classic Chicago... dog has a Vienna Beef Frankfurter that has a snap to it with all the condiments you'd expect. The menu has changed a bit,swapping out tamales for burgers, but it still has all the classic dogs and the fries are perfect every time. Matt himselfstill works there! First time going here even though I've driven by for years. Had the Seattle dog...yummy Single patty burger... patties are very... thin so double burger would be about a normal size. It was a basic burger and was good. Vanilla shake. This is were I took off astar. I would have dinged a half star but no option for that. The shake tasted like milk with a hint of vanilla. I've been driving by this place for years and never bothered to stop by. That was a mistake! They may not be the biggest or the... best hotdogs around but are straight up delicious, and honest. No they aren't your Seattle dogs you can have on a game day inpioneer square, but they aren't $12 either. These are great as a quick snack, one is enough, or two make a meal. Fries are greattoo. Matt's is one of the best handsdown. Once you eat from here i guarantee you'll come back. They are family oriented with great... vibes and quick service. FyI don't forget to grab a punch card when you come in, they make them worth your stop. Read more
If you want an affordable lunch in Georgetown this is the place to go! Perfect for a burger for sure. They have crispy french... fries that are wonderful! Did I mention the employees are so nice?! This is a place to grab your meal and go or sit outside.I've only ate the hamburger and fries here but they are known for their hot dogs and sausages. People rave about them but I'mnot much of a dog eater. I've also used them for catering lunches for my work. When you have 100 grown hard working men Matt'swill come through for you! O-M-GOODNESS!!! This place is now amongst my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE shops!!! One bite into my Seattle Style Dog and I all but melted... into my seat!!! So delicious!!! Pretty good fast-food style burger and dogs at very reasonable prices. I got a double cheeseburger and spicy polish. The patties... on the burger are small but tasty. The lettuce, onions, and tomatoes were fresh. The polish was a little underwhelming, butagain everything was fresh. Matt is super friendly and the service is very quick. I used to frequent the Matt's hot dogs location that was in Bellevue many many years ago. I also frequented the location that... was in Ballard. Both closed, and I thought they were gone forever. You can imagine how pleased I was to come across this(perhaps original?) location right in the heart of Seattle's industrial area. I personally like to get the veggie sausageChicago style dog with cheese and fries on the side (don't forget to include a side of jalapenos!). If you're not familiar aChicago style dog has relish, onions, tomato slices, mustard, a pickle slice, celery salt, and a hot pepper. Holy cow, simpleeats are always hot and fresh never get old. So freaking good! Next time I'm going to try the sauerkraut dog. Drinks come in onesize with vanilla, chocolate, or strawberry shake options. I've been going for lunch most days over the past few weeks and itjust doesn't get old. I think it's actually this business's name sake who takes orders.
