This is a great hidden gem, one of the best restaurants in all of Seattle! The staff is very attentive, service is excellent,... and the homemade pasta and cannolis are delicious! The owner always checks on each table and shares the changing specials, theatmosphere is private and cozy, and their selection of imported wines is extensive, a great way to complement the food! I took my kids to an early weekday dinner. I pass by the place pretty regularly. The quality of the food is excellent and is... authentic. It is on par to Italian restaurants I’ve been to out East, but we had a young gal server who was rude and seemedannoyed at us for being there. The kids menu has a variety of options but pricey for the portion size. Also, it’s digitalmenu only aside from the specials. I didn’t have my phone with me so when I asked for a physical menu they didn’t have one,and she was annoyed at us for this as well and ran through the menu quickly while rolling her eyes at me. For the prices, Iexpected a better experience. We won’t be coming back here, which is a bummer because there really aren’t that many placesto choose from in the village. Read more
Fantastic homemade pasta: chewy, springy deliciousness. Not particularly crowded on a Saturday night, so don’t be afraid to... just show up on the weekends. Everything was terrific. Would definitely return. Read more
Have been here twice and had vastly different experiences both times. The first time we went for a special occasion and loved... it. The food was amazing (minus the tiramisu which was overly soggy) and the service was very friendly. When my partner'sparents came into town we decided to take them and it was the exact opposite experience. The staff were rather cold and we feltlike we were being rushed out almost from the moment we were sat at our table even though they weren't busy (multiple tablesopen the entire time we were there) and we had a reservation. More importantly, the food did not stand-up to what we hadexperienced the first time. We ordered the ravioli marsala during both occasions and while we were blown away with how good itwas the first time we ate it, it wasn't nearly as good the second time. We also tried the chocolate mousse and it was served asa liquid rather than a set mousse. I think the lack of consistency in food and service will keep us from coming back. Read more
Stephen and I had dinner and loved our food. The spicy sausage ricotta pasta was delicious. The homemade noodles were tender and... not soggy holding their own with the sausage and sauce. The carbonara was equally the bomb. We also had salads and each a glassof wine. I only gave 4-stars as they played country western music that affected the ambience and experience of Italy. If yourlooking to sit outside they have a large seating area off the sidewalk. Read more
Went here for lunch on a weekday and we were the only ones there. It felt like we were transported to Italy and into someone's... home. I was looking forward to trying Mondello and I wish I could give it 5 stars. Unfortunately, my lasagna was cold in themiddle and the table was pretty dirty with dried food stains. They did have a sign saying bussers needed and I know there's alabor shortage with the pandemic so trying not to hold that too much against them. The ravioli marsala was absolutely divinethough... That sauce! I can just lap it up, it was so good. I wish the portion sizes were all bigger for what you get. All inall, cute neighborhood joint and if I lived near by, I'd go again. But I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. Read more
When I tell you this is the best food I've had I really meant it. Not only was the food amazing but the staff is so friendly and... the owner is this adorable lady who hand makes the cannolis she literally makes you feel so welcome. This is legit the bastplace to eat I 1000% recommend this place. Read more
Simply amazing! Authentic Italian, its the best in Seattle. Hand made pasta, the Saltembocca was great.
