Translating the different flavors of Indian cuisine in prepared food is no mean feat and this restaurant succeeds in doing so.... Some of the rice in the goat biryani were undercooked but the raita was delicious! The pieces of meat used were tender andjuicy. The pompano fry was perfect! The service was friendly and very welcoming. The owner takes a genuine interest in hiscustomers. The exposed brick decor beings a sense of warmth to the place. Read more

Got pre-Sounders reservations for this Pioneer Square based restaurant. They open at 5:30 and a wave of diners were sat. Every... single dish we ordered was exquisitely flavored and visually appealing. Not your everyday Indian meal, it was a feast for boththe eyes and taste buds. The service reflected the popularity of their restaurant and we arrived a bit after kick off to thematch. But still highly recommend, especially if you aren't in a time crunch. Thank goodness they are surviving the pandemic! Read more

Nirmal’s is fantastic. Full stop. That’s the review. Just kidding - I could wax on poetically about the deliciously spicy... curies, the secret off menu items, the warm welcoming atmosphere, the ridiculously tasty biriyanis or perfectly spiced afghanchicken kabobs or instead of listening to me you could just go and make your mouth happy. Oh my goodness!! 5 starts simply because I cannot give 10! Where to start even! From the moment we walked in the door the... experience was unlike any other I’ve had at a restaurant. We arrived ten minutes earlier in Seattle by bus and met anincredibly kind local couple who highly recommended this place as, “our favorite Indian restaurant in all of Seattle.” Wehad five luggage bags that the host, Ryan, kindly allowed us to store behind his podium at the front. We then sat down to adelightful meal full of flavor and tantalizing scents. Mara, our server was wonderful and attentive. They even brought us somechocolate cake to celebrate our recent wedding. They simply take the time to notice all the little details and care for thecustomer in the highest regard. We even got to meet the owner who can be seen taking time to chat with each and every one of hispatrons throughout the course of the evening. Definitely will making a stop by next time we are in Seattle, and so should you! Also, try the ice cream!!! Two times voted by the people as the best dish in Seattle!!! Read more

Wow, just wow! I came in with several folks who know Indian food growing up and/or visiting India. We've been to places that... call themselves authentic but somehow they get muddled in a fusion confusion. This is no fusion, and it's the real dealaccording to my peers. Very rarely can you sit down and witness food take someone back several years back home and bring suchjoy to someone. This definitely did the trick. As someone not proficient in any if the foods, I tried it all and was blown away. The flavors were on a whole different level than I'm familiar with and found myself digging right in. It's almost not fair athow good this food was, and I'll 100% be back again. Read more

We came here after a tour and arrived a few mintues before open. The smell alone made us excited. The space is vibrant, fun, and... fresh. Food: we did a little bit of everything, while my friend did the restaurant week menu. Everything was tasty, I believeit could use a little more flavor but overall happy with our dishes. The drinks were also great! Service: I would definitelysay make a reservation. We did not have one but given we were there at open, we were able to gwt a table. I do think they neededmaybe 1 more server. Service started quick and then slow took awhile, as there was only 2 servers for all the tables. I believeeven the manager was helping with taking tables and helping with tables outside. Overall: A great experience. Read more

This fine-dine Indian restaurant has the best quality food. The misal pav that we ordered was just delicious and the best. I was... happy to see the Indian rum, Old Monk on the menu that was mixed with mango flavors for the cocktail, just what an Indian needs.I also loved their kebabs, fresh and tasty. The owner is super-friendly and also came to have a conversation with us to know thereviews and talk more about us. Really loved the hospitality and the food. 10/10 recommend! Read more

Came here for dinner looking for good Indian. This was a good, upscale choice. We got the Cinnamon Imli and the Hot Toddy for... drinks to start. Both were excellent. For food, I got the Rofan Josh(lamb shank) & my wife ordered the Nizami Goat Curry. Bothwere good. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked & seasoned. The owner's wife came and spoke with us for a while, which was a nicetouch. The servers were nice & attentive as ever also. A great option if you're in downtown Seattle. Read more
