There will definitely be a line and it?s worth it. Seating is limited but opens up pretty quickly. You?re best bet is the... sampler. We really enjoyed trying all the chowders. Every single one was delicious. We also ordered an extra 12 ouncechowder. My only regret was the $59.95 Connecticut style lobster roll. Just don?t. The lobster was dry and there was nothingspecial about it. You can get way better lobster in Pikes for $20. I would give three stars but the chowder is worth 5 so weare settling on 4. Our total was $114 before tip and I would recommend stopping by if chowder is your thing. Read more

You MUST try this chowder! Award winning, and for good reason. It is truly phenomenal. We got the clam chowder, market chowder,... and a shrimp roll. The chowders were incredible, the market chowder that day may have been the best soup I?ve ever had. Nexttime I?d skip the roll and maybe try an extra soup instead! Only downside - very limited seating. We were there on a Tuesdayand could barely find a spot for 2. Read more

Visiting Seattle for a work event, and had to try this place because of all the reviews. I liked it! Some notes: I got the Maine... lobster roll, and the meat and seasoning were very good. But to me, the bread seemed a bit sweet. The texture was good, but Iwas a little disappointed based on all the rave reviews about the bread. Still a very good sandwich, though. I also got thechowder sampler, which I do recommend. One note: When I got back to the hotel (I ordered to-go), I couldn't tell which chowderwas which because there were no labels! Some were more obvious, but others were too similar to tell a difference. My favoritewas the Manhattan chowder, with a rich tomato base. Read more

Pike Place Chowder is busy but the line moves fast. My sister and I tried this place for the first time and let me tell you it... won?t be the last! I got the seafood bisque and the New England clam chowder-absolutely delicious! My sister got the smokedsalmon chowder in a bread bowl and she absolutely loved it!! The chowders had the perfect amount of meat, the soups were creamyand flavorful, some of the best chowder I?ve eaten???? Read more

If you go, depending on the time be prepared to stand in line. It goes fast, but there's not much seating. The chowder? Second... to none. It's so, so good. I got the scallop chowder and hubby got the salmon chowder. We got a large (not on a bread bowl) andwe are glad we did. If you order the bread bowl, know that it equals about a medium size for a higher price. Our bowls came withoyster crackers and a delicious slice of bread. Read more

05/08/2022 The Maine lobster in the roll was cold ($34.95 whole, was $29.95 three weeks ago!! That was 17% raise!), no favor... except salty, the roll in whole was small ; the New England clam chowder soup was OK but not impressive not too much clams(16ozlarge $12.95). Long line limited seating, overpriced lobster roll! Would not recommend. $52.5 was good for one person only, waytoo expensive! Go to Duke for better chowder better environment better price. About a 15 minute wait to order and the cashier told me it was super slow for a Friday afternoon. Be careful not to block the... exit while waiting in line. The Bostonian in me had to try the original New England chowder (I consider myself an expert due tomy place of birth). Pike place chowder uses oyster crackers, which is an ironclad MUST when eating chowder. Extra bonus pointssince it was Westminster cracker company, the Rolls Royce of oyster crackers (they are from New England) . The chowder was hot,and rather delicious. Definitely the best chowder I've had in WA yet. The potatoes were tender, the clams not too chewy, and thesalty bacon flavor added to the creamy and thick broth. They also gave a piece of sourdough bread for dipping which was a niceaddition to make up for not getting a bread bowl. I wanted to try more chowders on the menu.. Maybe next time. Read more
