After hearing about Salima Specialties from the South Seattle Emerald’s spotlight, we decided to swing by for takeout and... found quick, friendly service; a warm, community-oriented atmosphere; and AMAZING food. Honestly, we were blown away byeverything we ordered.\n\nFish cake banh mi: housemade fried fishcakes, fresh veggies, and a delicious sauce… so good and notan item I’ve seen on many menus before. With all the sides we ordered, splitting this sandwich in half was enough for a veryfull meal.\n\nShrimp toast: outrageously good, creamy, and rich. If you’re even kind of thinking about ordering this, DO IT.You won’t be disappointed! Served under a banana leaf, this dish smells heavenly if you know how to appreciate garlicky,expertly-cooked seafood funkiness. Wow. We were hooked at first sniff and first bite.\n\nCham bao: delicious. I love theaddition of wood ear mushrooms — it adds a perfect earthy fullness of flavor. Finding the whole, tiny, boiled quail egg islike uncovering a little treasure. Dipped in a bit of the house signature sauce (which is SO GOOD, so gingery), it’s theperfect snack by itself or side to an entree.\n\nChicken samosas: fried to perfection, crispy in the best way, and full ofveggies and curry chicken. The sweet and sour fish sauce (that has an amazing spicy kick to it) goes really well withthese!\n\nWhile we waited for our food to come out, we ran to Grocery Outlet across the parking lot to pick up a couple things???? The timing was perfect; our food was ready in about 15 minutes. Love the location and appreciate the ample parking! We’llbe back soon! There’s so much more we want to try… Read more

This is a new place and exciting. They’re still figuring out their rhythm so please be patient. We liked the Satay. The Bahn... Mi was also nice. They could do a better job in recommending what’s good. We didn’t really like the Lamb Curry. The bananatapioca wasn’t great either. But as a new place trying to do something unique in the food scene, please support them :) Read more

Super delicious.\n\nEverything we had from here was amazing. We ordered two drinks - Vietnamese Coffee and Blue Butterfly - and... both were delicious. We especially haven\'t tried anything like the Blue Butterfly and I don\'t know how to describe it, butdefinitely recommend it!\n\nThe chicken wrap was also tasty. It had chicken and pickled vegetables wrapped in a roti. Iespecially enjoyed the pickled vegetables! If I could buy a tub of it I would. The pickled vegetables also came with thelemongrass beef skewers (which were also delicious).\n\nWe also had the lamb curry, the cham bao and the roti canai. I don\'tknow what else to say but everything was delicious. You won\'t be disappointed. Read more
