The view from The Athenian is great! The menu offers a wide range of options from seafood to Burgers. The deep fried seafood... platter was good however calamari where a bit chewy and there were only two king prawns. Overall the service was slow andinattentive; they charged me another table?s order and it took a good amount of time to get that voided. I am not sure I?d goback in future. Read more

Staff so nice and service us well, the view is also great here, most of seat has window view whic is really beautiful in sunny... day. Seafood is fresh and delicious, the food size is full to of us. Only one thing that the open time is incorrect on bothwebsite and Google, so we got here twice. It's will be better to update the information for people who have short visit. Read more

We stumbled into the Athenian at lunch time. We were in Pike Place Market and were hungry. Posted menu looked good and solid... Google reviews. So we gave it a try. Glad we did. Halibut special (in spicy cream sauce) was delicious and my 12 year oldsaid that the clam chowder was in the top 3 he ever had (and he has had a few). Sat at a small booth at the windows where wecould watch the ferries and air traffic. Nice service too. I?d go back. Read more

We were visiting Pike Place and wanted to get some good sea food while we were in town. Our happy hour apps were fine,... especially for 10 dollars each, and the drinks were good. The entrees that were the most expensive were incrediblydisappointing. The 70 dollar crab was fine but came with what tasted like microwaved vegetables and instant mash potatoes. Theprawns and ravioli were overcooked and rubbery, and the ravioli didn't taste fresh. The service was alright but not great, overall just a disappointing experience for the price. I'm sure there are a lot of better places in the area. Read more

Stopped in for lunch while touring Pike Place Market. We were seated quickly upstairs (less than 10 minutes). Ordered the fried... prawns with fries and slaw. It was an enormous portion, with 12 very large shrimp. I had expected maybe half as much for theprice. The shrimp were incredibly fresh and cooked perfectly, and I appreciated that they removed the tails, which made themeasy to eat. The breading was crispy and delicious, the fries done perfectly, and the slaw was crisp, with the perfect amount ofdressing. Our server was attentive in checking in on us and providing drink refills. Highly recommend, this was a third theprice of another seafood place we ate during our vacation in Seattle, and definitely better in quality, portion size, andservice! Read more

I came here with a friend. He dined here 22 years ago and highly recommended it. So, when he was in town we had breakfast here.... We each had the smoked salmon eggs Benedict. It was good. We enjoyed our time together and the view of Puget Sound was amazing.Service was great. They also happen to make some very good bloody Marys. Read more

Great views, wonderful food, nice staff and zero wait time! We came at lunch on a Sunday and were seated right away, with an... amazing view of the water and ferris wheel. Our lunch came fast and everything was delicious. We ordered the smoked turkeysandwich, the kids grilled cheese and the kids chicken strips. Everything tasted fresh and was generous portion sizes. If you'reseated upstairs, just beware that it's a narrow pathway to get in and out! Read more

The Sleeping in Seattle famous restaurant. Two levels with a great water view of Seattle, located in Pikes Market. I had the... fried salmon fish tacos (I am always looking for the best fish tacos) being a salmon lover I couldn't pass. I'd give them a 4/5,flavorful but I'm not sure salmon should be fried. My guest had their clam chowder which was New England style..I'm a toughjudge on clam chowder as well as I grew up on some of the best.. for being the west coast it was good, thick and filling 3/5. Wealso had some oysters, which I used to hate, this is the second place I've had them where I actually liked them. Read more
