Nice ambience and tables are set up nicely with fancy dividers. I went for a lunch during black Friday and loved jazzy holidays... music they had on as well. Dedicated parking lot and easy access as it is located right off the 3. Now the food. My wife hadlinguine with clam sauce and I had black spaghetti with lobster. Honestly the pasta were disappointing compared to what we wereexpecting with such well reviewed restaurant. They were not bad, but not good either. Just so so. Black spaghetti for me wasjust mostly sour and spicy without other flavor. Service wasn't great either. We were done with our food for a while and had ourtable clothes out on the table but the waiter would just not stop by. There were only three tables being served at the time. First let talk about the warm delicious bread they serve you with!! Yummmm!! The food is Absolutely delicious and worth the... wait. Besides the restaurant having the most authentic Jersey feel to it, the hospitality is unmatched and the overall welcoming feel... really creates a wholesome ambience. This was our first time visiting. I personally have been driving past this restaurant for many many many years and never even... considered stopping in. Saturday evening I wanted to go somewhere nice with my fiancée so as I usually do I begin searchingfor local spots and read reviews to determine if we'd like to try something new. Barelis came up, I read reviews and lookedover the menu. The menu looked very good and reviews were just as good. So we took a chance and we visited for dinner at745pm. We are happy to find they offer valet which is always a plus. The venue is nice, we opted to dine outside as it was anice evening. To our surprise they had live music which is always nice but when you have someone who has an excellent selectionof music, great attitude, engages with everyone and sings nicely its an amazing evening in the making. We loved it. Now comesthe biggest deal of them all. The Food and Srvice. From the moment we entered including the valet everyone was gracious andnice. They walked us over to our table and were seated in a nicely put together tent with live music. We began the eveningwith a Peroni beer which we'd never tried and loved. The bread was excellent and OMG the olive oil was divine. We decided NOTto order appetizers seeing others and the size of their servings it made us weary of not being able to finish. My fiancéeopted for the Lobster and Black Spaghetti which was 1000% amazing. Seriously amazing and I am the biggest fan of black squid inkpasta. This one took the cake by far. I had the Black Pepper Pasta with Short Rib Ragu and it was beyond what I was expecting. Mind you we frequent so many different restaurants and have visited over 200 in the last 2 and half yrs. But this one is sogood we are making it a point to visit more frequently and make sure it's on either Wednesday or Saturdays which is when thelive music is available. We had a lovely anniversary dinner here last night. Food and atmosphere was good. Service was very good.I loved the insane... Shrimp roll and watermelon salad. My husband had the eggplant Parm and I had the shrimp Alfredo. Drinks were very strong. Icouldn’t finish my drink, but I am a light weight. ???????????I would definitely go back. Read more
I was there for dinner this Friday. We stopped by after shopping at the American Dream Mall. The food was spectacular. Pork Chop... was the best I ever had. My husband had the Black Spaghetti with Lobster which he enjoyed very much. Our server Julio was sonice and friendly, he chatted us up the whole time. Great guy. The Martinis were fabulous.
