Almost outstanding. Minor details are why it falls short. Initially, coffee was cold, then replaced. The pastrami was served... with yellow mustard, but traditionally, it should be brown. The server seemed slow when we asked for more napkins, which Ithink should be automatically included with a pastrami serving. I did enjoy the pastrami. Excellent! It was NYC "authentic." This place offers a unique and cozy experience in a very friendly environment to have a cocktail night or a brunch with your... friends. The menu has a variety of delicious options, the service was excellent and I personally loved the steak and fries dish.Definitely recommend it! Read more
I love this place. Whenever I’m in town working I stop by. The staff is really nice and the place is clean and up to date.... They have a good variety of food so anyone can find something they like. Even my picky wife! The all day breakfast keeps mecoming back. It also helps that they have a full bar. it’s nice to be able to grab a couple of drinks after work with my 5 pmbreakfast platter. If I’m by myself I’ll sit at the diner bar and the workers are always nice to chat with. 5 out of 5I’ll be back again! Read more
We had a great experience at Carnegie Diner & Cafe. The staff was friendly and accommodating. It also has a cool vibe interior... wise. I loved the greenery up around the kitchen. It has the feel of an old school diner but it’s updated and very clean. Iwas excited to find out that they serve all day breakfast! We had a late night so I was excited I could still get some eggs at4pm along with my Bloody Mary! My husband got the avocado toast and some pancakes. The pancakes were delicious! Obsessed with this diner! The food was great, got my normal diner order of grilled cheese and fries. I had to get their cake... too! The huge slices were calling me. The chocolate cake was excellent- a must-order. The restaurant was clean and the outsidewas very cute (posted a pic). First time coming here was excellent! Customer service was top tier! The atmosphere is something you see in a movie. Workers are... super friendly and the food was delicious! Not only that, they have a wonderful selection of plant based meals! I recommendanyone looking for a new restaurant/diner in NJ (even tho they have thousands) to eat here! By far one of the best! The mozzarella sticks stood out here! They were definitely in the batter from other mozzarella sticks. We also got cookies and... cream cake which we didn't get a picture of, but enjoyed it so much we went back to try more of their cakes. Definitely a nicehipper diner than the typical diner that you may think of. Read more
