My wife and I generally very much enjoy Long John Silvers, and we live in Warrensburg so we rarely get it. We decided on a whim... Saturday night to take a road trip to Sedalia (about 30 miles away); checked the website to make sure LJS was open (closed at 9pm) so we drove over, pulled up to the drive-thru at 8:45, and were ignored. All the lights were on, including the menu board, but no one came to the speaker. I called out a couple times, then called the restaurant (no one answered, of course). At about8:52 we just pulled up to the window, and they had slats covering it on the inside, but between the slats we could see peopleinside, ignoring us. I called a couple times on Monday, and, of course, no answer. I hope losing a group of customers was worththe extra 20 minutes you lazy people enjoyed. Read more

Years ago when A&W came back to town and went in with Long John Silver's, this was a real neat place to go. You could get A&W... food with a frosty root beer from the tap, or some fish and chips from the LJS offerings. Equipment was kept up, plenty ofstaff present, and food was hot and delicious. Over the years, it seems, that the owners have not kept the place up... Evenwell before the pandemic this place was in decline. The root beer tap had been gone for years - the old timey juke boxunplugged and nonoperational. They began shutting down the dining area to a smaller size, blocking off an area we'd often dinein, before closing the whole thing altogether for the pandemic. Bathrooms were almost always frightening - still are. Food andservice quality was declining. Again, this was before COVID. Still, we'd go once in a while because I like fish - any time ofthe year, but especially when it's cold outside. Unfortunately, now I'd have to advise against going here period. Admittedly,we haven't been there for probably almost a couple years, because they're dining room has been completely closed. Even whenothers had been opened back up for months, theirs was still closed. Finally went there Sunday afternoon, 11/13/2022, becausetheir dining room was open. Dining area was cold, like they didn't even have the heat on until they opened, if at all. So, weleft our jackets on and ended up eating our meal that way. It appeared they were struggling to operate with minimal staff. Inoticed hand written signs soliciting for employment. Once we sat, I overheard another patron complain that her food was cold. She sent it back and they remade it. When we received ours, my fish was barely warm, as well. However, we didn't have the timeto wait for them to recook and/or exchange - just finished our meal and left, lamenting about how it used to be and what a shameit was that they'd allowed it to become such a disappointment. I found hair in my chicken and the fish was not fish. The burgers and bacon was extremely burnt. Don't even get me started on... the fries. Let's just say there was a reason this place barely had any costumers. I would Not recommend to anyone. Read more

The girl taking orders thru drive thru was very rude especially when asked about menu items. The customer is not their priority.... Was very unhappy couldn't even add another meal at the window. Read more

I was happy with the Service and my Fish&Shrimp Platter. My only concern was the lack of Employees to keep the cleaning of... tables and Fountain/Sauce stations cleared. My husband enjoyed his plate and Taco Tuesday ???? Read more
