For a place that pretends pretentiousness, sorely lacking in follow through with the atmosphere. Steak was tender, but... overcooked with a thick crust of charcoal and rather flavorless. The crab and bread was the best part of the meal. The potatoeswere bland and dry as well with no garnish, sauce or indication of flavor to be found. Three stars only because I wouldsincerely feel bad if it was MY restaurant that performed so poorly and charged $110 dollars for "dinner". Read more
Australian here. A year ago we were living in Seattle and decided to fly to Denver buy a car and drive back to Seattle. We... visited Lindey?s randomly as a part of that trip. I couldn?t remember the name of the restaurant but since this dinner I hadthought regularly about the old school vibe, the beautiful outlook and the simple menu with amazing food. The name says it all. Lindey's has three different cuts of top sirloin. We got the Lindey's Special (prime?). It was... perfectly cooked to medium rare. Also comes with a small iceberg lettuce salad, a potato cake and some tasty bread. We addedthe button mushrooms, which were excellent. Service was friendly and efficient. Read more
If you look at the photos, the menu selection is simple. It's steak, steak or steak plus you can add mushrooms. The steak is... simple and very delicious. Our server was great. We came in. We said we wanted a good steak. She said that we were having thespecial and all she needed to know is whether or not we were going to have one or two. The highlight was the Huckleberrycheesecake. We saw this place advertised in a AAA travel book around 4yrs ago & decided to try it out. We've been here 3 times now,... whenever we come to Montana. It has become my go to place for the best steak dinner EVER!! I love it so much. So this yr, I toldmy boyfriend all I wanted for my bday was a steak dinner from Lindey's & we live in Washington state. It's a Big deal!!! Wealways get the meal you can share. The cost is reasonable & doesn't take long for the food. The ppl are very friendly. There's abeautiful scenery to view while you're eating. Oh, & romantic, so much so that I can now say my boyfriend of 4yrs proposed to meafter our steak dinner that night & became my husband the next day in Butte Montana another favorite place of ours ??????
