Went here on a recommendation of some very good friends and just loved it. We started with the hot and sour soup and wonto... soup. They both were some of the best we've ever had. Normally, we would eat some of the soup to save room for dinner, but weboth at ever bit of our soup. Words can't explain how good they both were. Dinner was just as good! We had General Tso chickenand Teriyaki chicken, both outstanding. I wish mine had a little more heat, but other than that the food was amazing. Excellent! Seguin Surprise! Really enjoyed the evening at A-Tan . Beautiful standout building. Parking right out front.... Walked into a bustling Bistro and Bar and greeted by Hostess and other servers immediately. We asked to sit at the classicsushi bar and our server welcomed us and took our drink order in less than a minute. We ordered a 370ml bottle of coldnon-filtered sake the server recommended, ordered a couple bowls of their Miso soup and checked out their menu. My son is aregular at their New Braunfels location and picked out his go-to favorites. To start, the Lobster Tower and the Gruene Roll. Iordered the Squid Salad and a couple of my favorite raw seafood rolls; Yellowtail Roll and Tuna roll. The Miso soup came outquickly and it was excellent. They were generous with the Miso and tofu and got us started-off nicely. The Lobster Tower wasspectacular and I?d highly recommend that to anyone. The combination of sauces used in this dish were excellent. See thepicture I posted to appreciate the presentation, The Squid Salad was exceptional and they added fresh fresh cucumber and theirown touch that made this dish a favorite. The Rolls were nicely put together and the classic Tuna roll was fresh and theattention to detail was appreciated. The Yellowtail roll was excellent as well. While on a road trip hauling cows, my sister and I stopped in this beautiful restaurant for an early dinner. Unique setting:... The restaurants setting is cute and unique, and the atmosphere is relaxing and comfortable. Good service: We got welcomed in bythe employees, our waiter was nice, and we got thanked upon our exit. Good food: We ordered the seaweed salad, which was good,the spurs roll, fine, and the happy family plate. Topped off with the delicious mochi ice cream. The food was great Clean andprofessional: Bathrooms are clean, the tables and dining area are all very clean and nice. We love ATan!! This is the 3rd time here and we've never been disappointed. The sushi rolls are amazing, and the drinks too.... This time around I ordered the Astro, Hawaiian, and Gruene, last two are sweet rolls. The Long Island iced tea I ordered wasalso one of the best I've ever had! The beef teriyaki was very good and not over cooked or too sweet like most places. Spicy salmon roll was also a treat. The... servers were all wearing masks which I personally find off putting at this point when none of the customers had masks on.Hopefully they let go of the mask obsession soon because the food is great and it would be nice to see some smiles too. This is our favor Seguin restaurant! Service staff can be young and learning, so be patient, it?s worth the wait! The Tuna Tower... is an appetizer but I order it as my meal and order the garlic edamame for an app! You can?t go wrong, fresh flavors, produceand presentation every time! Read more
