Really neat place to have dinner! The atmosphere was amazing. We enjoyed the view and all the items around the restaurant. The... food was good but not worth the price. Was extremely expensive and average. My burger not the salmon had any seasoning. Themushrooms however were amazing. Not sure if it was just a bad day or what. Love the concept and what you have done with theplace, is dedicated a unique dining experience. Just wish the food was better, especially for the price. Read more
With so many places out there that serve food I like to find the gems that offer a little more. The Powerplant provides some... amazing views to go along with the food and drink. Came to grab a drink and some food to bring back home and I gotta say...everything was awesome. The food was delicious, the drinks were tasty, the company was fun, and the place wasbeautiful. Maybe just maybe Thursday night karaoke may be in my plans very soon. Read more
Great atmosphere and service. Our server was awesome. He hustled the whole time and checked up on us periodically. He made sure... we were well taken cared for. The food was good. The fried mushrooms were great. The only down side to me was the Grilled Salmonhad too much seasoning along with my rice. I didn’t care for that much seasoning. Other than this, I would have given thisplace a 5. It was a great experience overall. I will definitely come back. Read more
Place was Awesome! Prices were Great! Food was Great! Service for our table of 8 was Great! Portions were Plentiful! Love... the decor and atmosphere. The wife and I split a chicken fried steak and took home leftovers. Ordered fried mushrooms for anappetizer and it fed the table easily. There was more than enough! Fantastic all around! ???? The Powerplant Texas is definitely worth the drive from anywhere .. for the food or ambience. This place was once a working... hydroelectric power generation plant. It's been called converted to a very exciting and eclectic restaurant and bar. Greatservice .. I'd tell you if the beer was good if I wasn't there with a church group, .. Dang it! Awesome patio and cool localdecor' .. if it wasn't over 100 degrees ( for real the car said 103? ) we would have enjoyed the patio and beautiful picturesquescenery. .. but it was hot outside, and the air conditioning kept it very comfortable inside. Really pretty place for a great weekend meal. My wife had the Bison burger with fries and I had the Venison burger with homemade... chips and a piece of fried catfish. For appetizers we had their Frog dip and chips and for dessert their Banana pudding. Kylerwas our server,she was great. Anytime we try a new place we are always worried it could be hit or miss. This place was a huge hit! We ordered the onion ring... and shrooms appetizer and it was a heaping portion of delicious food. Next was the Chicken Fried Steak. Bartered to perfection,generous portion and the mash was so delicious. We have absolutely no complaints. Brittany was our server and she did an amazingjob taking care of us. Next time we plan to visit in the daytime so we can take in the scenery and the building architecture andexisting decor. Read more
