Really wanted to love this place. Love supporting small businesses and mom & pop shops. Based on the high reviews, I was very... eager to try. Unfortunately, the only item that was semi-edible was the Yuka fritas. The rice in the picture is a double orderand was on the crunchier, dryer, al dente side. The pollo con tajadas was primarily bones, chicken jerky and breading. The bedof plantations below was dry, hard, and old/stale tasting. The carne asada from the Honduras menu was thin, beef jerky texturedand the beans tasted like a packet of taco seasoning. Not sure if this is an acquired taste type of thing or perhaps it was thetime of day? Read more

We were driving back from the beach looking for something to eat and didn?t want the same ol? same old? stuff. My hubz looked up... Mexican places off the highway and found this option of a mix of Honduran and Mexican conveniently located off Hwy 70 and nottoo far from I-95. At first glance you might pass on it but we are adventurous and we wanted to try it. Totally worth it! Familyowned business- I talked to the owner who was there cooking and her husband was in the kitchen. We tried the Honduran menu andit was fantastic! Since I have never been to Honduras, I can?t speak to how authentic it was all I can say is that it wasdelicious!!!! Plantains and steak with some delicious sauce. There was a salad or slaw blend of veggies on top of theplantains?.. yum!!! The waitress spoke English as did the owner but it is not their native tongue. (No prob w me- just letting uknow what to expect- you CAN communicate) The menu was in both Spanish and English - very helpful. First thing they brought tothe table was fresh hot tortilla chips and homemade fresh salsa all to die for! Just nice people trying to make it and Idefinitely wanted to leave an awesome review to encourage others to give it a try. Can?t wait til we head that way again! Read more
