Seemed a bit more disorganized than usual. We had to go get our waitress several times because she wasn't very attentive. ... Wasn't busy. Had to ask for refills, remind them the meal came with a waffle and silverware. It was storming out and we gotsoaked going in and it was freezing cold in there as usual. Read more
This used to be one of the Waffle Houses around. We have been here many times. I don't know what has happened. I wish I could... give less than 1 star. I don't think it is understaffing because it appears same number of people work there. Went by on aThursday night about 11:30pm. Went in there were maybe 3 tables with people sitting at them eating, the other tables had notbeen cleaned off, so no where to sit unless you wanted to sit where someone else just finished eating. No greeting at all fromanyone there, no I will clean you a table in a minute, no welcome to Waffle House, no nothing. A man that was sitting at one ofthe tables said he had been there 30 minutes with no one even coming to his table. The waitress walked by with her cell phoneand went in bathroom. We decided to leave, I heard the man that was waiting ask if he could get some coffee, she told him if hewanted to he could go down the street to the Waffle House in Smithfield. That is exactly what he did and so did we. Walked into Waffle House in Smithfield across from Golden Corral, we were greeted, in just a couple of minutes the waitress was at thetable taking our order. The Waffle House in Selma has certainly gone down hill. Will not be stopping there anymore. Read more
Server was excellent. Sad, to see staff great people who walk in and out before you. Makes me question if that's how they treat... all black customers. Mind you the staff is mix race. Read more
After finishing my coffee my server said oh you wanted something eat. Then I had to wait for my coffee refill, she ask oh you... want more coffee. Normally service is good but this time worst service I have ever had there. Read more
Was in Myrtle Beach for vacation really wanted a Texas cheesesteak went by the waffle house during lunch, the whole staff was... seated ( meeting )? and upon entering I was told they were closed until 2. In case you never worked in the food business andmanagement the key word here is during lunch they were having a sit down meeting and not serving. In the restaurant business youhave to get it when it's there in other words you don't close during breakfast lunch or dinner I realize it's hard to getstaffed but you do the best you can do when you get the money and customers will appreciate you. I will still go to waffle houseI generally like their product but I will never ever attempt to go in Myrtle again. Read more
Happy they were open. Love that All Star breakfast. Service was excellent and the grits were perfect. What a relaxing time... with the wife and kiddo. We always enjoy our WH experience. Read more
We love the Waffle House! This location did not disappoint us in any way. The staff was friendly and helpful (They even heated... up my syrup so that I had the perfect melted butter, hot syrup, waffle combination). The eggs were perfectly cooked (Thank youMiss Donna) , and everyone was very friendly. Great price, great location, and perfect breakfast food every single time. Read more
I?m a fan of WH - but overall the experience is diminishing. The food is adequate, but that?s what you expect so all good there,... but please turn the music down or off - especially in the mornings. No one needs that. And now a $1 for a to go cup??? Come onman. Read more
