Food was great. Service was so lacking it killed the visit. It was our first time in. Staff at the door was indifferent, ... after being seated it was 10 minutes for server to make it to the table. Pretty awesome experience at the height of lunch hour at approximately 1pm. To be honest, the way the entrance to the parking... lot(s) is very confusing. First parked on the South side and the entrance was relatively in the middle, basically facing i35.But after the long walk from the South parking lot we got a nice table with a very kind and attentive waitress. Helped very muchwith entrée selection and delicious margaritas alike. Definitely a clean, inviting, and comfortable environment to enjoy amargarita and enchaladas for lunch. It wasn't until I left and of course forgot my to-go box that I pulled around a confusingcul-de-sac. That is when I found the real primary parking area and went in to retrieve my forgotten leftovers. The lady workingback there was so kind, recognized me from the table I was at and we both had a laugh at the expense of my inattention. Endreview: great atmosphere, great service, a quick, delicious and easy meal and good drinks! Minus the confusing separate parkinglots, now knowing its layout, I will most certainly return. Thanks! Great food, excellent service! My waiter Kris was awesome! My glass was never empty and he continuously asked if we needed... anything. He had the best customer service. This was the best Mexican food that I have ever had! My chimichanga was seasoned toperfection with cilantro and green peppers but nothing was overpowering. OMG, the Queso, salsa, and whatever this other sauce iscalled was amazing! The only negative thing I can say because (it?s always like this in restaurants) is the bathroom needed someattention. Usually this restaurant has a good family type atmosphere. I enjoy the lack of tvs that so many other restaurants have. (I find... them distracting while talking and eating with family.) The staff is always friendly. The food tastes good. The prices areroughly $13/pp if you include the tip. Which for our family of 6 isn?t bad. Plus the kids get ice cream. Overall it?s in our top10 for good eats in SA. Read more

Our meal was absolutely DELICIOUS and VERY filling!!! We each got the Big as Yo' Face Burrito - my wife got chicken fajita and... I got beef fajita, and since I ate too many chips I could only finish a little over half of mine!! No problem, I can have itfor my lunch tomorrow. I will definitely be returning to Chuy's much more often bcuz that Burrito is a great meal for a decentprice!!! Read more
