Stopped by here late on my birthday to get some birthday pie with friends - unfortunately after we walked in the manager let us... know they were closed and had just forgotten to lock up the doors. But! He still helped us out! Since we only wanted some pie,he turned some lights back on and packed up our pies, then even gave me a free slice of French Silk since it was my birthday :)Very very kind staff and one of the most clean and pleasant Village Inns I've been in, definitely recommend! Sitting here having a late breakfast. So far the host has come by twice to ask if everything was good. My waitress, twice as... well. I realize most probably they are required to do this in the job description. Am I to think by asking these questions theyfeel that if they didn’t everyone would complain. Just find it amusing. June 18th , 2022 20:12 - After dinner I showed my military ID as always expecting to receive my 10 percent discountas I always receive. Not this evening. I am told I ordered off a senior menu and already received my discount. They showed mewhere I ordered an site enough in TINY print , senior discount. This is the first time in years that this has happened. I askedto speak to a Mngr. A Marni Brown responded. He could care less what I had to say. $1.45 discount on a meal for military ( VAhospital across the street) This Manager would rather argue and loose $30.00 worth of business a week than give a $1.40 militarydiscount . Been here two times (Thursday, then the following Monday. Both times were very good. The restaurant is large, airy and clean.... The servers are friendly, efficient and professional. That makes for a good start of the day. Went at 9 in the morning bothtimes. My friend always ordered two medium poached eggs, hash browns and either an English muffin or sourdough toast and coffee.Her breakfast looks delicious and she says that it is. With the purchase of coffee you get your choice of a small juice. Nicetouch. My idea of breakfast is a bit different. I tried the 1/2 ham & cheese sandwich on lightly toasted wheat and a salad witha side of blue cheese and ranch dressing. My sandwich was exactly what I wanted and the salad was fresh. Very good. The secondvisit I went with a 1/2 tuna salad sandwich with tomato on lightly toasted wheat bread. The salad was not as fresh as before butI expect they would get their fresh produce delivery that day (Monday). I liked both sandwiches equally. The menu is expansiveand reasonably priced. The hostess greets you immediate. All in all, a very nice experience. There is free parking and safeeasy in and out. Read more
Our waitress took very good care of us it was almost as if The tray was glued to her fingertips the way she Also elegantly went... over through the tables getting everyone's auto correct very personal with Southern hospitality other hospitality it was asimple breakfast that was delicious the pancakes were fantastic I got the pumpkin place because I'm basic. My partner got theeggs Benedict the coffee and the sweet tea did just fine that was a nice atmosphere. Incredible service from Cory. Best server on the planet in my opinion. We had so much fun talking to him and we saw him sitting... down to talk to an elderly customer who was sitting alone crying. Yet he still hustled the entire time we were there for brunch.Refills without asking, food and condiments brought out quickly. Excellent! Food was absolutely delicious and so fresh. I willmost definitely return to this Village Inn. Decor is a retro vibe with lots of burnt orange and brown tones. It's easy to missfrom the main road but you HAVE TO stop here for top notch hot and fresh diner dishes. You will be so glad you did. Cory isabsolutely amazing and is a true gem of a human being. First, our waitress was awesome! Great and friendly service! Helped us with menu decisions. Food was really good, considering we... got dinner plates and not breakfast like we usually do. So it was a pleasure to get a decent dinner for a decent price. Again,with the great service from our waitress, it was a really good experience.
