I've lived in Pasadena almost my whole life and had never been here. I was looking for somewhere new to go to watch USA play and... my friend suggested this place. My pretzels were a little bland, but the sauce that came with it more than made up for it andeverything else that we got was very good. My wife and I were very happy with everything and she even said that was the best potroast that she had ever had. Also, interesting and different drink selection which was a pleasant surprise. Brian Boru recently updated the items on their menu and the changes that I have tried are tasty improvements. The cauliflower... appetizer is far better than I would have thought a cauliflower dish could be, definitely give this a try and remember to usethe lime! The chicken pot pie is tasty, filling, and the perfect remedy for the incoming cool of Autumn. I have been here less than a dozen times over an 8 year period. It never fails to make me wish I lived in this town. The food... offerings are excellent. The service is unbeatable. The live music - check their calendar - is always spot on. Jamie andCheyenne are entertaining behind the bar. I have never had a disappointing meal. This visit, i had the Corned beef Poppers -STOP! Do NOT Sleep on this treat! OMG! Succulent corned beef - really! Probably the best corned beef I've ever had, but nestledin a shroud of beer batter that just breaks the meter on flavor. The food here was great. My husband and I had the same dish unfortunately so we couldn't share but we just couldn't put out... forks down. Sorry the pictures are not great, but I always forget to take them before I start eating lol. We went here whencovid was still peaking, so the place was pretty much empty and not much going on but the vibe was still nice. Our server wasawesome and he took good care of us. St. Patrick's Day has moved Brian Boru up a notch to 5 stars. From the parking help, to the host, to the food and friendly... service, Brian Boru has succeeded at wow-ing me. Roast chicken was fantastic and paired well with a Guinness and the lightbread pudding dessert. Kudos to everyone for the planning, preparation, and execution of this iconic Irish holiday event. This is my favorite Irish pub anywhere, well except a couple in Ireland. The four of us had a nice relaxing dinner with some... live music. I love the meatloaf with the dark gravy!!! Service was efficient and friendly, the food was really hot. A couplecomments, I wanted the buffalo wings crispy and they were mildly crispy but not enough and there was a hair on my plate underthe gravy cup. Everything else was great. This is a great traditional style Irish Pub serving authentic Irish flavors and awesome brews. The food is simply amazing as... well as the ambiance and decor.
