Bought a pre made bday cake here for my daughters 21 st. First time customer. There is basically no icing on this cake. There is... a thin skim on top and sides, however, No layer of icing in middle of cake!! It?s a big cylinder of choc cake made to looklike a layer cake. Who does that! Also bought cake truffles. We had a terrible experience. Ordered a cake for our son?s birthday via email, went in a week ago to pay the deposit and then... went to collect the cake today and they had no cake and no order. Only refunded when I was able to show the card transaction. Ihave no idea how it can happen but it did. Had a very disappointed boy on his birthday, so had to head to Safeway. Read more

I stopped in on a Thursday to get a vegan cupcake for my child who has terrible allergies. My child took 1 bite of the cupcake... and immediately stopped eating it. She broke out in hives, and had a serious allergic reaction. I quickly called them to askwhat was in the cupcake. I was put on hold for a long time, before being told that they did not have an ingredient list. I wastold that the owner would call me on Tuesday to go over the ingredients. 5 days later? I received a voicemail from the ownerwith the list of ingredients. I immediately called her back and did not receive any phone callback that day. I called her backWednesday, the next day, and finally spoke to someone. Kirsten was not apologetic to any extent. I felt like she thought I wasnuisance for calling and disturbing her. I asked if it was possible that the employee gave us a non-vegan cupcake. She laughedas if that was the most far fetched idea ever. Kirsten, my daughter had a terrible reaction. You did not care, and neither didyour employees. Have a list of ingredients for when someone calls back with another issue, and perhaps, sound concerned whenanother frantic mother calls because their 2 year old is having an anaphylactic reaction, to a cupcake, from your establishment. We are new to the neighborhood and chanced upon Kirsten's Cakery one cold winter evening right before they were closing. I knew... exactly what I wanted for my child's Harry Potter themed birthday and they executed my vision to a T! The red velvet cakeitself was soft, moist and delicious, unlike the usual decorated or theme cakes. The picture I took doesn't do full justice.Hope the baker has a better photograph for the gallery. I wasn't able to find a bakery anywhere that made cakes in a time-frame less than 7 days. Google led me to this bakery and I... realized they make desserts daily. (Thank Goodness) I needed to make this Birthday happen!! I walked in, ordering wentsmoothly, luckily they had a small cake as well and offered to write on the top! They were so kind, patient, and thoughtful. Asa bonus the cupcakes were delicious and not overly sweet and they have multiple candle choices. I will be back. Read more
