Very cool place with a super nice staff and owner. Hand breaded chicken strips rock, coolest beer tap I?ve ever seen,... reasonable prices, and they take care of the students which makes it a great place. Bakery attached is phenomenal. Limitedselection of beer choices, but the outdoor seating and friendliness of everyone more than makes up for any shortcomings. Read more

We had a great lunch with The family. The kids got a Mac and cheese which was creamy , sharp cheddar delicious. I got the cheese... steak which they put A1 sauce on it so be warned if you like that. Next was chicken salad sandwich. The bread was very crunchyand chicken salad was fresh and creamy. Last was the star of the afternoon which was the meat and three chicken pot pie. Crustwas amazing and chicken delicious. I would recommend this place. I can not wait to try breakfast. Read more
We were very excited to come back to the blue chair as every time we visit sewanee for family we make it a point to stop here.... Every time we have been very happy with our time, this time less so. The food was great and coffee pretty good. But the customerservice was lacking. The woman at the counter was very patient with our big group helped us with everything. But there wasobvious signs of stress most likely form her coworker running around, being rude, and forgetting many orders and names. Hiscustomer service was less than desirable. Read more
Delicious lunch and great community vibe! The cesar salad with grilled chicken and beer-battered fries hit the spot. Jackalope... lovebird hefe and IPA beers were great - love that they have these Nashville brews. Also love the dog-friendly outdoor seating(they have water bowls and brought our dog a treat!). We visited The Blue Chair Cafe for breakfast while staying in nearby Tracy City and now I can't wait to go back to their tavern... next door. The breakfast was simple which is exactly what I wanted! They also have delicious coffee and lattes served hot oriced with flavor options as well. The owner was there and he was super friendly. He gave us a lot of great recommendations forhiking in the area! The outdoor seating in front of the cafe and tavern is very inviting. I'm excited to go back to enjoy theiroutdoor space! Read more
