Nice cozy place, but more than likely will never be back. I paid 51 dollars for four drinks, not including tip, two which were... very small rum and coke. No wonder why the drink section of the menu is ?under construction? online. Definitely feel robbed. Ican?t even imagine what my bill would have been if I asked for them tall, or on the rocks, or if we would have gotten food. $7for maybe a shot of rum and a splash of coke? That?s unreal, and I?m sure you know what the industry standard is, and you checkevery single drink to make sure you pour more than the standard? Either way, they were not worth anywhere near $7. You soundridiculous in your responses to your negative reviews. About 12.50 for a martini? Also absurd. A bottle of top shelf vodka costsless than the price of what 3 of your martini drinks costs. Mahi tacos are delish!!! Great service as well.
My wife and I had dinner at Lula on Saturday for the first time. So MANY choices! We decided to share the fish tacos, the bacon... Mac & Cheese and the 6oz. Filet (which that night was served with augratin potatoes in lieu of fries).. EVERYTHING wasdelicious!!! The filet was done perfectly and melted in your mouth. Every bite left me wanting more....thanks to the staff andkitchen for a wonderful experience.... CAN'T wait to go back and try other dishes. Read more
This is a review of lunch service, sitting outside. Inside is cute and cozy, with service being as prompt and friendly as... needed, not rushed. It?s interesting? is this place a nice bar that serves food? Or a restaurant that also does drinks? Thealcohol list is much more extensive than the menu, but that?s not a bad thing at all. My removal of one star comes from prettyunassuming things but they are important. Our silverware was dirty and napkins had a few crumbs in them. Not dirty like coveredin flies, but with water spots and food particles that survived the wash. More gross than actually harmful. The plates are ofgood quality ceramic, but the flatware itself is pretty boring cafeteria quality. It has been around the block and backagain. Yes I know Heinz is from Pittsburgh. The problem is that it?s packed full of high fructose corn syrup and industriallyfarmed. It?s not good for you. Wish they had higher quality healthier options from organic brands for the condiments. The 4star rating comes mostly, then, from the food which was quite tasty and came out quickly, and from good service. Finally, thinkabout avoiding the water. Like almost every place in Pittsburgh, the water isn?t actually good to drink. It has dangerous levelsof lead and chromium and tastes strongly of the chlorine derivative used to clean it at the source. Not ideal. But absolutelynothing to do with any individual place I review; so it doesn?t affect the stars. I also reviewed the fanciest places in townand their tap water is the same. Anyway, lots of small notes here but Lula actually is worth a visit and has tons more optionsfor dinner than lunch, so it?s a steal of a deal for either option. Lunch is incredibly well priced. Nice. I have been here twice the first time was good. But, this time was a complete flopp. There was a full head of lettuce uncut on... the plate. No dressing applied, nor the Caesar ingredients with dressings on the side. Really??! Lousy service on their part.Go elsewhere! You've been warned...I never went to such a place. Not a good day. The food is not good nor the service. I ordered a warm Caesar salad. What I received was an uncut head of Romaine warmed with... the ingredients of the salad on the side. Really?? 6/27/2022. This is why I went out to eat today for service. I could havesaved the $20 and ate at home. Poor service and hospitality here. I suggest try another place in Sewickley. Read more
