Wow, what a place. Very unique. You really need to make reservations ahead of time, they said no matter what day you come. We... waited an hour and 45 minutes on a Saturday and that'snot their busiest day. They let us put our name in and we did someshopping and came back. What a lovely place! One of my favorite things?.we were asked if our cell phones were off or on vibrate! Do you know how nice... it is to not hear phones ringing etc. great atmosphere, wonderful/kind staff & the food was delicious & reasonably priced. Thedecor was so adorable & welcoming. There is a bakery & gift shop on site too. Restroom was extremely clean. The outside was apark like setting. So relaxing, what a perfect place to lunch. I?ll be back ?????? Read more
Beautiful restaurant with wonderful food. I haven't been to Batar in a couple of years- What a mistake. Restaurant is... excellent. Great food with relaxing atmosphere. This restaurant is located outside the town of Seymour Indiana highway 50. The food was well presented and delicious prepared... fresh. The rustic outside look does not prepare you for what waits inside. It is well lit with a lot of outside light from thewindows that are strategically placed. An curio shop, restaurant, candy store. 10/10/20 We were looking for a bakery and stumbled upon this place in between Seymour and North Vernon just off 50. Talk about... a grand place in such a small building. The feeling when you walk in is sheer elegance. The bakery was quaint and perfect! Thelayout and decor brings you to a time of an old candy shop. Loved it!! We decided to eat after learning it is also a restaurantwith a delicious menu. I had the Ruben, this sandwich is an absolute must try, the sauerkraut complemented the sandwich alongwith the 1000 island dressing. Mmm mmmm good!! We also had the chicken pot pie, oh my another delicious treat. We did ordersoda without ice and it came out warm, needed to get ice LOL We also had their bacon spinach quiche, it was overwhelmed withbacon and spinach and not enough quiche. It had a good consistency, but this wasn?t one of our favorites. For dessert we hadthe orange pineapple cake... this is also a must!!
